FighterPilot:Why should a Cobra be open all round when it has many side and rear windows/firing ports for SF to use in firing individual rifles? Dummy. Only a foolish soldier like you thinks the best thing to do for special forces is to put them in an OPEN VEHICLE with ZERO PROTECTION and no single bullet proof cover so that even a 10 year old boy will kill all your SF with simple AK-47 rifle. American special forces have thousands of SF Humvees fully covered and armoured, http://usamilitaryposters.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/SEALSV12-800.jpg Only SANDF has NO SINGLE light armoured vehicle for your Southie army or special forces, your SF get killed like houseflies ![]() Nigeria has VBL, Cobra, Igirigi, Spartan LAV with 100% all round bullet proof cover for our SF and regular infantry. https://i0.wp.com/oi59.tinypic.com/9qfbmc.jpg If we want to use open vehicles, Nigeria has many types and sizes of small 4x4 ATV and those are not even available in South African SF units, you lack mixed vehicles, multipurpose vehicles, amphibious vehicles, you lack many things that Nigerian SF have. Show us your own ATV.... .

agaugust:Nice 1. I just kept quite since they always believe they know everything. And that every country must build their military exactly the way their masters do. Standard equipment vary by countries and their treat. There is no universal rule that say a countries military must be exactly like this. |

agaugust:South Africa has a purpose-designed, air-droppable SF vehical that carries more men and more weapons and is more maneuverable VBL, Cobra, Igirir, Spartan are not SF vehicals, they are SOF vehicle. Again, I need to tell you to learn what SF do and what SOF do. |

agaugust:Bwahahaha… agaugust tell me are you really a military researcher? Judging by the level of your reasoning. How will all those vehicle ever be adopted for special ops if they have so many weaknesses? They are too small to the size of a lawn mower motor. Obviously, have low speed as well and also hardly have any bullet proof skin and are clearly meant for light duty to be used around the base carrying out logistic duties. Stop kidding us with your ignorance and admit for once that you don't have special forces vehicles. |

lionel4power:You are indeed a mad man and sorry I can't help. You really don't know what is a special force vehicle. Special forces vehicles were produced for a combat and not for Stealth or clandestine operation. They were designed for heavy firepower support at the front ranks where missile, mortar, IED, RPG is possible. Special forces train daily on those vehicles on various battle formation of jumping in and out those vehicles even when the vehicle travels at high speed. It is truly not a favour to be born a nigerian, no wonder your nation has never produced anything to the world other than 419. |

FighterPilot:your idiocy is overwhelming... what trash did you just spit out here? are you trying to re-design special forces? so special forces now needs to heavy firepower? then what is the job of regular infantry. -- when seal teams killed osama bin laden in battle of tora bora did they use 'special force vehicles'? -- when ISIS leader Abu sayyaf was killed by american special forces in Syria did they use 'special force vehicle'? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/top-isis-leader-abu-sayyaf-5707626 -- when russian special forces killed Aliaskhab Kebekov, also known as Ali Abu Mukhammad in the caucasus did they use 'special force vehicles'? http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/islamic-terrorist-leader-killed-in-caucasus-say-russian-authorities/519363.html -- when US army SF killed Zafar the leader of al-Qaeda in northern Iraq, did they use 'special force vehicles'? http://www.amazon.com/Kill-Capture-Operations-Notorious-Terrorist-ebook/dp/B00447822I -- when Nigerian special forces killed shekau I, II, III did they use 'special forces vehicles'? -- and countless hostage rescues around the world was 'special force vehicle' used? -- i asked you to define 'special forces vehicle' and you have not said anything. -- now tell me one mission that special forces vehicle was actually used fool, idiot, illiterate. your idiocy is becoming annoying. useless illiterate southie... |

lionel4power:That is truly cherry-picking exercise to influence people to believe your one dimensional views. Special forces have various tasks and are not only restricted or limited to clandenstine or secret missions only. Bin laden was killed on a stealth or clandenstine mission. Special forces perform various tasks including supporting firepower at the front ranks. That's why their specialised vehicles are always armed to the teeth with rockets and heavy machine guns. You should pay me for giving you these lessons. Lastly, Shekau was never killed by Nigerian special forces because they never existed. Nigeria special forces have less than one year of existence. They were officially established late last year and became fully functional this year 2015. |

FighterPilot:keep your useless lesson. your post reeks of illiteracy. well if im trying to influence people with my one-dimesional views why dont you provide a counter-view. or your useless brain cant come up with anything. -- i ask you again provide a source where a 'special force vehicle' has been used, since south Africans owns one it shouldnt be difficult. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 5:24pm On Oct 12, 2015 |

lionel4power:Well!! It is no secret that Nigeria has a high level of illiteracy in Africa and you subsequently you succumbed and became a victim yourself. Dummy read this source and educate yourself about primary and secondary tasks of the special forces. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_Special_Forces When it comes to the use of vehicle, you sound very foolish because special forces use vehicles when they want to get from one to another in a force battle. They have been doing it for ages on the direct action with the enemy. |

DictatorZAR:American and European jets crash in bad stormy weather F-7 crash was NOT in air combat with another jet. The F-7 crashed due to heavy wind storm during a slow landing after returning from successful combat mission. Any light jet can be stalled by heavy wind storm when the jet has slowed down to land. The storm was so heavy it carried the F-7 pilot away with his parachute after successful ejection, he was swept by wind force into a tree and that tells how heavy the storm was. A Gripen or F-16 jet would have suffered same fate at landing in heavy storm, no jet has immunity to that. Not a combat loss, F-7 good to kill a Gripen if it comes to combat. Fighting against forces of nature/weather, both jets will perish. "He made a similar statement as the Air Force that the crash could have been caused by bad weather, saying there was heavy windstorm in the area. We saw the pilot parachuting out of the jet but he could not land safely as he lost control and rammed into a tree as a result of the heavy windstorm leading to his instant death. In a statement on Saturday, the spokesperson of the Air Force, Dele Alonge, said the aircraft crashed at about 4:23 p.m. Nigerian time due to bad weather." http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/191358-how-nigerian-fighter-jet-crashed-witness.htmlhttp://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/191358-how-nigerian-fighter-jet-crashed-witness.html PHOTO : GRIPEN JET CRASH WHILE LANDING....EVEN IN GOOD WEATHER, GRIPEN JET CRUMBLES INTO PIECES WHILE LANDING !

Patchesagain:LOL....your own photos kill y.our argument ![]() Those vehicles are not any specially built special forces vehicles, or can you tell us their special names ? They are simply variants of infantry Humvees, Toyotas, Jeeps, Landrovers, etc. Funny your last American SF photo below shows a distant ATV in the photo, Nigeria has it, you dont have in SA ! The nearer vehicle in the same photo painted brown is nothing but a simple Toyota Hilux kind of vehicle with guns on it Nigeria has it in the second photo below painted green. Nigeria has thousands of open body Toyota 4x4 including the ones with armour despite being open. We have all you have, and we have extra and more, we have a large variety of vehicles our SF can choose from....LAV and ATV, open or covered, armoured or soft skin. Best equipped SF multiple variety vehicle fleet in Africa is that of Nigeria. No rival from Cape Town to Cairo. Nigeria compare with America NOT South Africa ! .
