Lyoncrescent:
Its amazing the number of Ministerial Nominees who have schooled overseas at one point or the other.

This is consistent with my fears that education in the next few years may become elitist. Unless the average man/woman gets a scholarship to study overseas, there would be a serious problem.

Average age of graduates in schools like Babcock and Covenant is 21 years old. Most of their parents can afford to send them overseas to the best universities for their Masters and Phd degrees and fund it too.

The only reason the likes of Unilag and OAU are prominent now is simply because there were no private universities before 1999. Only solution is for schools like Unilag,Babcock,Covenant and OAU to be as good as Harvard and Oxford .
. how can dey be as good as harvard and oxford when they. have budget of $500k and UK/ US universities have $500m

I want to hear this woman. She is the one OBJ used to thwart Tinubu of Wale Edun's nomination.
Believe the media at your own peril . It was Wale Edun that recommended that woman to Amosun to be appointed a commissioner and Mr Wale Edun wouldn't have done that without the support of Asiwaju. Bode mustapha was the one nominated by Obasanjo and he was not picked.

Kemi Adeosun was working under Wale Edun before he recommend her as a commissioner for finance in Ogun state.

boy, I watched the programme live. Senator Abaribe asked Governor Fashola very direct simple questions:
1. Is it true that you built a website with 78 million naira. Expected answer is either yes it is true, or no it not true, and then state how much was used. Though fashola wount say it is not true, because it was he himself that released a press statement and said it was that amount.
2. Is it true that you drilled borehole with 300 million naira. Expected answer is that, yes it is true, or no it is not true, and state the exact amount used.
Yesterday, Fayemi was asked if it was true he bought 50 million naira bed, he said no it was not true, that none of the bed cost more than 1.5 million naira

the Senate satisfy with his responses, if not they would have pressed him for more .

Good Question.

Do you also know the fee for an average private primary school in Lagos for a year is often more than the school fees of some Federal Universities for four years ? we can send our children to public universities but we cannot send our children to public primary schools ?

All the funds meant to strengthen Primary and Secondary schools are spent on Universities so that students in Unilag and co can pay 30,000 naira per year on school fees , Spending more on the roof while neglecting the foundation and pillars. Thats the story of Nigeria.
