@ justwise, OGreene, FrontpageLawyer just had a denial on my Settlement Visa application though still appealing the decision and already had an MP intervention on the issue.

My 6months visiting visa expired in May 2015 and i applied for settlement in July but was denied last week and I have been in and out of the UK.

Can I procced to apply for another 6months visiting visa whilst having an appeal of the settlement still pending.

I have 2kids and my wife all based there and wanna spend Xmas with the family as I always do

They will suspect your true intention considering your pending spouse visa appeal

Churchgate Towers. Go through Ozumba Nbadiwe, ask anyone where Afribank Street is. I think it's one of the easiest building to locate on the Island.

Good luck

When you get to Law school (Ozumba Mbadiwe), jus ask for Church Gate, that's where the VAC is.

From Apapa-CMS-Law School B/stop

The process is not really different. Fill the forms online, make payment & book appointment.

Attend your appointment with a print out of your application form, appointment confirmation, receipt of payment and other documents.

Gtb MasterCard (Token needed) worked for me and my brother.

Mine took less than 5days, My brother about 7days and we both submitted in VI. (Their Processing times vary for some people 15 working days or more)

Good day All,

Hope your day went well.

Please I need your help/guidance..... I applied for the UK Visa with family for holiday and was denied on the basis that they are not sure I will not have to work or access public funds while I'm the UK. Reasons are:

1. My statement does not have enough money to cater for the trip and the investment letter I attached does not show that the funds can be made available before maturity.Amount in the investment is more than double of the entire holiday cost. Please note that Maturity date is October and Travel date is intended for Mid Novemebr... SO I dont understand this.

2. That they are not sure we will be spending half of our savings on the holiday

3. I had credits for Ajo( monthly contribution) in my account and this was clearly explained in the supporting document. The issue they have is that they are not certain we did not "inflate" the account for the purpose of the visa application.

Please assist with how I can go about proving/clearing their doubts as we intend to reapply (since we were not given right of appeal).

We are first timers.

Good day all, I have been following this thread for some days now and I've found it to be very interesting, thumbs up to you all. I need your option on my coming application.

I have once applied and granted a six months UK visa some years 2012, which I only used (ten days) once as a bachelor and then working (for three years) with a privately owned oil and gas company.

Now, i am married with a kid and planning to apply (January) next year alone without my family.

I have retired (January 2013) from that employment, I own my own transport business (oil and gas logistics) and also runs a block moulding (transferred family business) and supplies business, both I run under a business name (Enterprises) registration, which I registered years ago even before I got the said job. I never mentioned anything about the registered business name in my last UK application. Most times, payments come through my personal account and I rarely use my business account. My business account may not be up to six months when I will be applying in January. My personal account is very active and I have instructed my clients and agents to pay directly into my business account from now on.

What are my chances and challenges?

You'll need to build a very strong Social, Family, and Economic Ties, therefore I'll advise you keep running your business account for now, keep all transaction documents, receipts, clearance certificate, VAT payment (Enterprise)
Your business account should be separated from your personal account which should also serve as your salary account.
As a business owner, it is also advisable your work out your Monthly wages which should be transferred from your Company's account to your personal/salary account at the end of every month.

build a very strong Social: this should be in terms of my business which is very well on ground.
Family: i have my wife and daughter and other family dependants
Economic Ties:?
business account: this be less than six months by time will be submitting my application and my passport will be expiring six months after submission.
keep all transaction documents, receipts: i have my receipt booklets, job approvals, quotations/proforma invoices, delivery notes, way-bills.
clearance certificate, ?
VAT payment (Enterprise): will work towards that. will there still be need for my personal income tax?
business account should be separated: it is. but won't be up to six month by the time i submitting my application
personal account: i have not been paying my self but i transfer from by business account to my wife's account and my personal account
your salary account: this should be the same as my personal account or do i have to open another one?
business owner Monthly wages although i have not been doing that but i have always transfer to my wife's account and my personal account

You have most of the documents to show your social and economic ties. Having said that, there is no guarantee about visas, but the better prepared you are, the better your chances of getting approved. For your financial accounts, make sure there is regular activity for the past 6 months. You must prove to the ECO that you will not become a financial burden to the UK Government or decide not to return to Nigeria. The more evidence they see that you will return back to Nigeria, the better your chances.

You don't have to open a salary account. Let your personal account act as your salary/personal account, but avoid money lodged in its entirety.

You'll need to submit the following documents, Original and Photocopies;

Marriage Cert.
Birth Cert.
Company Documents CAC, Contract papers, Invoices, Receipts e.t.c
Tax Clearance
Evidence of VAT payment
Company statement of account
Personal statement of account, showing your monthly salary
Company ID
Introduction Letter on your letterhead

Six Months Statement of account is the standard requirement.

Why not get Birth Certificate from NPC?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by greenwall: 11:27pm On Oct 15, 2015
Thanks man. i will take my sworn affidavit to NPC (surulere) to obtain another certificate. but the main issue is that of the company's account. since i will also require minimum of six months validity on my passport that will make it more challenging to for me. i have to be sincere with you i have not been using it.

what do you think?

Your certificate is not a requirement.

You were probably refused an entry visa because the ECO probably perceived you as a flight risk since your social and economic ties to your country were weak.

Is your business registered?
Do you pay company tax?
Do you have a company account?
How much is your annual turnover?
How much is your monthly wages/salary?
Married or Single?
Children?

Answer those questions and we shall take it from there.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 11:37pm On Oct 15, 2015
@Greenwall.

Yes go to Surulere Local Government with the sworn affidavit for the Birth Certificate. Always attach the Sworn Affidavit to it at all time.

Your passport must be valid for 6 Months beyond the period of your intended stay.

You have to submit a healthy 6 Months bank statement.

Goodday everyone,
I av bn following this thread recently. I was denied visa based on the fact that I did nt state my proper itenery in the UK cos I had stated in my application that I av no relative and I would be doing some sight seeing as well as little shopping and also my balance at the time I submitted the application was not enough. However I submited my Tbills worth 2.1 million naira. One tranch would be maturing by Nov which should be more than enough for my trip. Please advise me, cos they said there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review.

Both of these are suffering because of poor ties to return home.
The first thing that you must do is to prove to the visa officer that you will return home after your visit.
Finances are part of this, but ties to employment, family or property are required.

Good Morning my Visa consultants in the house.

Abeg my problem is in three parts

1 I applied for a tourist Visa as a first timer

2 I got a mail after 3 working days that the visa is ready for pick up(Though out of town)

3 The hotel name i have on my application is different from the one i finally booked and confirmed.

My worry is that how come its that fast abi them just look am toss the thing away?On the other hand every other thing is so on point ranging from the 6 months play slip, to bank statement and all.

I will so appreciate your contribution on this cos am so scared to pick up my passport.
