Guys I don't know what's wrong with my infinix hotnote, all attempts to tether it to my laptop have failed, it would only open facebook, once I connect my siphon and try to open other sites, it won't work, I've tried pdanet, the same thing, I've tried df tethering fix as well as tether unlocker, both didn't work, I'm confused, could it be because I'm on lollipop? Or because I rooted via recovery? I'm just perplexed

Open the phone and disconnect the battery carefully. the battery connector is the small flex on the right hand side of the board facing down.

Then flash with sp flash tools with the battery disconnected

And really, u don't have to open ur phone battery with a screw. Just 2 few steps will do.

After closing all my apps without locking nor white listing WhatsApp

Good to known. U the second person am helping to bring back hard brick phone back to life. Point of corrections : I never say u should remove and open ur phone battery. Coz if u do that, u have void ur warranty.

For those that have there phone hard brick. Please don't open ur phone with a screw driver to access ur battery. The method will or may not work but u might even damage ur phone power circuit that supply ur phone charge power.

To solve it is a simple and details step. Just flashing two times, it be back to life.

how do u intend to flash a phone not detected by the PC? a HARD BRICKED device that requires test point manipulation to activate the NAND? or a MTK device with corrupted NAND that requires re-partition?

no one said a soft brick phone should be opened. naturally you would be stupid to do that if you could flash the phone without anything special.

The fellow who was told this SAID HIS DEVICE WAS COMPLETELY DEAD and no longer detected by the PC

He was told to take the phone to Carlcare. or if that was impossible, try the battery move.

i don't see how this qualifies as bad advice for you to be spouting BS subs.
