Just pack your load and leave their land now, there is no need for this long turenchi.
They fought for one nigeria, and other tribes packing out of south west is not part of the one nigeria agenda which they believe in.

They got to live with it or go and die "in unofficial vice presidents voice"

the question is : what are the things the iboes have that Yoruba's are jealous about?
and the problem of the Yoruba's is that: we hate parasites & ungrateful immigrants.

dalu wink
Resilient, entrepreneurship spirit and hardworking these three words made Igbos great after the civil war, when you tour Nigeria you will understand, these three words made Igbos topping in human developing index in Nigeria: health, Education, Banking sector, Shipping, Hollywood, Transport, manufacturing, trade and commerce etc, If you guys really understand these three words, you will know you can't stop them, rather you are encouraging them, after what Igbo went through after civil war, hate them, envy them, jealous them it can't erase these three words in them. Ka Chineke mezie Okwu!

What is your problem with the igbos..

I am deltan but I ve lived in Yoruba land for years. I can confidently tell you that the yorubas are the troublesome ones.

They like to lord over people
They are very jealous of other peoples success

There are so many shops and business areas existing for decades where igbos dominate 95%. Yet you see selfish greedy Yoruba people want to control the markets as chairman, president, secretary e.t.c so they can dictate and control the igbos and the market

This is happening in Alaba, computer village, Ladipo market....e.t.c

The igbos are very democratic they do not impose them self on anybody. they elect their leaders and they called out the Yoruba people contesting leadership of their market to come for a vote...

Is that disrespect.?

In Osun your king called the leadership of the igbos for a meeting over the igbo market. He came dressed in his regalia in company of his friend.

Your Osun king had other plans..he arranged over 200 youths to beat him up on d ground that he entered the palace with a crown.

Jeeez...i taught u guys r educated...

Can u do this to the leadership of the hausa fulani market? If he comes into ur palace dressed in emirs regalia?

Grow up Yoruba nation...you guys r very discriminatory and tribal bigots.

You don't see the Igbos as part of this nation.
You people jeopardize igbo self rule and the Biafra struggle. During the war, You aligned with the North to fight the East. even though the igbo coup which sparked d war did not kill a single Yoruba man.

Todays Military and politics is largely run and controlled by the Yoruba and hausa alliance.

The Igbos hardly interfere. They mind their business (buying n selling) and they pay they tax and royalties to the govt and the traditional leaders of the environment they operate in.

In what way have they disrespected you.

In Delta,Edo,calabar, bayelsa,Benue, and other non Yoruba states....the indigenes don't lord themself over the igbo markets. Not even in kano/sabon gari market.

You call an average igbo man a proud man..my brother let me take ur mind backward...

your Yoruba leaders advised the northern govt to cut off food supply to d east during d civil war. Starvation came and the war ended quickly.

Yoruba leaders also advised the govt to seize all igbo properties in Lagos n PH and every igbo man would forfeit all his money in d bank and get only 2pounds if he surrenders.

This was meant to punish the igbo people and turn them to beggars in Nigeria.

Igbo people were all kicked out of military and politics. They had nothing but 2pounds

To survive they went into buying and selling they made profit and expanded. They assisted their family members and friends to open businesses having served them for some time and these same friends and family members after they became successful also assisted other relations who aspire success too.

That trend went on and on and today it pays off for them....you will hardly find an able bodied igbo man begging on the streets of Nigeria.....but Yoruba hausa and fulani beggars are every where...pls quote me on this.

That is an average igbo businessman pride.

Pls my western brothers stop d envy.stop d attack on people who did not attack you. Stop being tribal bigots.

Leave them to their pride and find your own pride.
You just nailed it correctly. That is why I hate yourobbers with passion in fact, they disgust me. I can do business with a Hausa man but, definitely not with yourobber man.

What u dont understand is some of those lands belongs to familes and they are loaned to the government.

Ladipo market land belongs to a family, Also OShodi even Alaba . Computer village they all belong to people and loaned to government.

If not for miltary rule those places were designed for other facilites and not open shed selling european trash

the owners of the land can decide they want to build housing estates , motor parks, train station, stadium etc

Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria yet the most overcrowded why?

ANd dont forget we are still africans, Culture is the one thing we dont mess with

Majority of igbos are good people but maybe 10% give the other 90 a bad name

Remeber there are over 300 different tribes in Nigeria

When i say black people hate black people u just qualified urself from ur post.

I was talking about

hate from carribeans to africans
hate from african americans to africans
hate from francophone africans to nigerians

the list is unending

Can u imagine an african american hating u as an african because of slave trade that u dont know any thing about.etc

The things yorubas are talking about is respecting their culture, respecting their instuitions which include the obas and baales. thins ppl hold alot of power if u dont know.

All the agberos and nurtw is controlled by this ppl

Dangote is the most successful business man in nigeria yet he is extremely humble not that he cannot brag but he is wise for doing that.

We have calabars edo deltan ijaw hausa fulani nupe etc many many tribes leaving in the southwest

why is nobody mentioning this people and again generalisation is bad but the people giving iigbos a bad name are those people in the market.

You're nothing but a demented maggot!! What bitter truth are you talking about here? You first of all tell your miserable self the truth about, how you hate the Igbos simple.

quickly:

We have calabars edo deltan ijaw hausa fulani nupe etc many many tribes leaving in the southwest

why is nobody mentioning this people and again generalisation is bad but the people giving iigbos a bad name are those people in the market.
bro..let's me spare dis african aspects and let s talk about dangote as mention in your comment.
Yes it s true that dangote is successful businessman and yet he is extremely humble? Well that s good for him, likewise ibeto another successful igboman competing with him but government re frustrating him right from the time obasanjo granted dangote patent to become the only recognised businessman to imports and exports things in and out of a country locally and internationally, though, it s kind of official license from govt giving to one person to operate successfully ,
meanwhile ibeto is another successful business man from the east and yet he s extremely humble but cannot brag cos he is wise of doing that too. Ain't it ?

But because he s an igbo man, they re afraid that he may kick dangote out of the lines, though, it was due to ibeto's cement that is as cheap as pure water that dangote decided to curtailed his own cement which is too exorbitant to buy then.

Imagine , out of thousand hausa business men, it s only dangote we know, only dangote you can mentioned here but out of igbo business men, I can give you thousand of successful igbo men.

Anyway, we re different people and some nigerian misunderstood our smartness for prideness.
How many hausas do will have on nairaland to come here and say something opposing views to you. It s igbo today and igbo tomorrow. Don't you know that we(ndigbos) re keeping this website lively. Let me not say much before you labelled me braggart lol.

How can you compared igbo people to that of hausa, calabar, ijaw etc to that of igbos in the southwest when you know too well that my people re highest in population after indigene and they scattered home and abroad. So you must definitely meet different characters and behaviours from survivals.

If indigene of lagos state is 100%
Then igbos is 68%
While hausa is 35%
Calabas is 20%
edo is 8%
Ijaws 4%.

So my dear, majority of the yorubas has an igbo friend, forget dis online ranting here.
It s hard to hate an igbo man and it s hard to love an igbo man.
Every calabar, ikwerre, delta, ijaws, the yoruba in the west see them as igbo except recently, yoruba have started differentiating calabas from igbos.

If they want peace, we'll definitely give them peace but with the hate ,envy and jealousy in their hearts will only consumed them with time.

My take..sad
