Not with the development in Lagos. Even if it is a prime location(going by what have been said) there is no way that building is going to return billions in a very short period of time as you are talking about. My understanding is that the location is not famous for multi-national companies use for offices and any rich individual would be wise enough not to consider spending over a billion on that building. Is billion so cheap to come by in Nigeria? I don't know much about the economy but that is some hell of cash to wager on a poor building and location.

I did'nt mean the house will return billions, I meant the worth will appreciate to over a billion some years from now. Banana Island is a favorite spot for expatriates and Foreign Multinationals. Linda Ikeji can easily rent it out to a Multinational who can use the house to house their staff and be making at least N50 million annually.

No reasonable expatriate will buy that house for N1B even in 10 years. They are all know the kind of choice property they can get in their countries, where their is light, water, security, clean air etc. Only a foolish expatriate will pay N1B for almost a face-me-I-face-you house!

A face-me-I-face you house will be worth N1 billion? Nigerian property market thrives on corruption! No reasonable person will ever pay N1 billion on a property that is a face-me-I-face you house, a property in a land without constant electricity, insecurity, dirty air, and no water. Only stolen money will easily pay for such house. This is scam, and the sammers get their own share of the National cake and buy choice properties in a serene place in the the United States or elsewhere!

Look at prices of houses in Banana Island, this house is even the cheapest one you will find. Obviously the property market In Lagos and Abuja thrives on corruption of Nigeria's political class who have money sitting in their accounts meant to build hospital and roads at sitting in their bank accounts which they hope they make clean by investing in real estate.

It seems you don't get the point! The prices thrive on corruption! There is nothing special about Banana Island, it is a place filled with bushes, it is not serene, the prices are not worth the houses! It is a scam! don't you get it?

Have you seen $1m houses in Dallas Texas, you will weep for a dead country! Scaming those that scammed the country! Dont you get it?

I get it now what you are saying, but it is a still a good investment for Linda Ikeji the property value will likely appreciate, fuelled by the vast corruption of Nigerian Political class who love to live in the so called "exclusive neighbourhoods like Banana Island,Maitama and Asokoro and have the looted funds to drive propert prices up.

Notwithstanding, that is more of a gamble. The foreign multinationals would have to access different buildings, weigh them against price before settling for the =N=50 million you speculate for annual return. The location is not porch to earn such a huge sum of money. Are you kidding.

Her Banana Island house will not change the facts we know. She and cosmos Maduka should go develop their ancestral land. Yeye dey smell 5th class lagooners.
Does that change the fact that Lagos is no man's land? undecided

Mehn Nigerians are so gullible. I can't believe many people believe that she actually bought that house at that huge amount. We all know that she is good at inflating figures. I don't think that house costs up to 250 million naira. Foolish people. Where is psquares private jet? When will kc sing with nickiminaj and the other unknown YMCMB artist? When will Rihanna sing the song that wizkid wrote for her?
So you get sense like this?... undecided

Linda is richer than seun. Its a fact! I'm not holding any brief for her. How much of paid ads do u see on nairaland? Almost everything u see on Nairaland's front-page are free but before u see any nokia, tecno, forte oil, etc news or awareness on linda's page, it has already been paid for. Even dstv pays her to advertise their lies about their justification for increment on their tarrif. How many times have u seen lunda promote news from nairaland? Or how often hav u heard or read about linda right about nairaland? But hardly a day passes without news from linda's blog bin hijacked by nairaland. Hardly a week passes by where linda's issues isnt discussed on nairaland. Shes richer by far than seun.
Seun isnt monetising nairaland, thats d bitter truth. How many financial institutions advertises on nairaland compare to linda's blog. My guy, linda rich pass seun by far.

Laff don kill me remain Burial...

Just because Seun has never showed off doesn't mean Linda rich pass am.

Google Seun and see nothing u go see.

Seun however is said to make a minimum of N6,000,000 a month. Bros, Nairaland is a decade or so.... U sabi maths abi...

My bro, u are educated. Where does seun makes money from? How many ads does nairaland attract? Just ask ur self these questions.
Seun is making nairaland stagnant. It only grows in amount of visitors, but doesn't reflect in cash earn.

You are actually very ignorant.
Check out the ad rates for front page banners alone, and you'll be shocked that it makes around 10m every month, not to even talk about the various sections on Nairaland.
I think Seu.n is just as rich as Linda or even more.
