Go online to their Internet Bank profile there's always a link to update your BVN

Stop misleading people.... The National ID is just a pre-paid card and is not tied to your bank account or all your bank accounts as you mentioned. Did you register your bank account at the point of enrollment?

U don't need 2 go about with multiple atm cards. U can access all ur accounts via the I'd card. But d disadvantage is if u misplace it. U can't get acess 2 any moni & d card is not a 1day tin like atm which some banks give immediately. Replacing a lost ID will weeks or more just as d case is now. So keep it safe!

National id card i've never seen nor know how it look like after much over-emphasised. Buhari who recently registered got his within few days while ours has been under process for 2years. Nonsense.

I know that and that's the reason I said they're confused. They should have linked it to the National ID database from inception through a web service. That way before your BVN is captured as a Nigerian citizen, it must verify your identity. Doing it as an after thought would create a lot of discrepancies in records not verified.

This approach could be a right step in righting the wrongs of the past. If we can premise our national identity on the two (BVN & Nation ID), then we can capture many people. The problem though is that we have many "unbanked" way more than 60% of the population. So we may have to include the GSM data registration

You are very right on the need to merge the databases together such as the NIMC, NIS, NCC-SIM, FRSC, BVN and any other using unique identifiers captured back then but the issue is that most were captured without adequate references to the other.

This was why NCC recently asked for the blocking of all lines and register them using a government issued ID.

You can always link your account via ATM machine with your ATM card.

You can link the BVN to your GTB account through the ATM machine. Wen u insert your ATM cardN follow the bvn link by d right corner

Don't you have another bank account go to dat bank that you can find and do the bvn there then later go and connect it to ur gtb at any gtb branch....am sure u ave anodat bank account. Apaart from gtb
