Today the senate continued the ministerial screening of nominees. First to take the seat, was Oyo state ministerial nominee, who is a member of the CPC faction, of the APC. During his screening the ministerial hopeful, raised a few red flags
* He denied ever being indicted by an panel of inquiry, for acts of religious intolerance in 2001
* He was evasive, on a question pertaining to the Boko Haram menace, ignorantly showing his support for their cause
* He suggested that all religious leaders should be funded by the government
* He went further to claim that he believed that God was the best police in the world, and so is far better than our police force
This and many more shows that Adebayo shittu is the next thing, to a religious bigot, and for the President to have gone to his state to pick him out of the thousands of credible candidates, just because he is a CPC faithful, shows the APC is in trouble, and surely, they will be many in the SW APC, who feel gored by his selection. I would urge the PDP, to use this as an attack point. Because, with just the right amount of force, this psychopath will crack.

What he said was that most of the northern leaders that spoke against boko haram were killed and that is why he cannot blame anybody for not speaking out
He also said boko haram are not following the tenets of Islam and that he still have family and wants to be alive so he can't comment further on boko haram.
Candidly the guy said the truth.

I thought i was the only one who noticed it, his response to questions lacks depth and you would notice the subtle facial demeanour, like you haven't seen anything yet wait till we get there.
The distinguished Senators did not do a thorough job on the nominee, as an Islamic scholar and legal philosopher his response on the boko haram issue shows that he supports them even while saying Islam is a religion of peace, also his response to UN committee headed by Rev Moon on religious harmony glaringly shows that he looks down on other religion outside Islam. I thought that Alhaji Shittu would have supported the idea since we have a similar body, inter-religious committee in our country and wholly sponsored by the Federal Government. Nigerians are in for a long walk with the Shittu's in position of trust. I fear for Nigeria my dear own land.

Confess say his look intimidates you. You would have loved him and understood his opinion if he had appeared in suit without beard and the rest that signify he is a core Muslim. I wonder who is actually intolerant?

If you listen to his last statement you will realise he is not a religious fanatics neither is he in support of BH

Well, actually he said nothing. The man is evidently a fanatic, he reminds me of those Alfa's who spend all their time cramming the Quran, and no time understanding and studying the leaps in development in their immediate environment. That is where the danger is most apparent. How can you preach change, with such a character in your stead. Except you are preaching islamist change.

I hope the senate do not confirm him, there's something about him that makes me uncomfortable.
