I'm not Igbo and really don't see the need for their agitation, but I'm strongly of the view that peaceful protest should never be matched with force. How do you justify arresting a man for protesting? freedom of expression and speech is in serious trouble. |

StOla:Did they get order from Nigerian police? It is better to keep your mouth shut cos I have not seen any evidence of such so far. |

rhymaster:listen, Hausa/Fulani including their slave Yoruba teamed up to killed Igbo and indigenous tribes that makeup the then Eastern Nigeria in the name of one Nigeria, now Biafrans will not fold their hands and watch this history repeating itself. If the worst should come to worst we will not hesitate to go nuke and at the end some of us will submit ourselves to ICC. So bewarned. |

Ephemmm:A right does not require a police validation to be exercised. That the police farce expects to be notified or consulted before a peaceful protest can be effected is in itself a mockery of our democracy. |

Mehn, im yoruba but im begining to think this is victimization. If the protest was not violent, why arrest? I think the best way to curb this menace is not pay it much attention nor media coverage. Olus yorubas on these threads, please let us stop speaking hateful words, making jest of another, Our generation should not throw away virtues of peace and civility.... |

Fellow nairalanders, please, check yourself, ever since most of us have been a member on this social network, tribalism and racism has over grown in our heart, somepeople don't even know "this noise" exist, until they sign up for an account on Nairaland, somepeople don't even know that some "noise makers" are waging Death and Mayhem on Nigerian citizens until they join nairaland , somepeople have always been the regular kind of people, happy and always friendly but since this "Noise everywhere" their orientation has changed about "them".. Now we witch hunt ourselves at the gaze of any crime news for name check. Somepeople don't even achieve anything with their data anymore than to be wasted on "this noise" , which is not meant to be because Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know, that how these noise makers are and I think Silence doesn’t always mean “Yes”. Sometimes it means,“I’m tired of explaining to people who don’t even care to understand.” |

StOla:Any citizen has the rights to be exercised, but this can only be done if the right ways and procedures are followed. Can you show us where it was stated in the constitution that police should not be notified when carrying out whether peaceful protest or otherwise? |

Way to go. Arrest anyone constituting a nuisance to the public. As a matter of fact, shoot any on the foot if they misbehave. Useless people. Ordinary 2m for bail money they can't pay and they claim how rich they are. Please shoot on sight. |

Honestly, if the Igbos believe this Biafra is their sure hope, I think they should be allowed to go. All over the world, independent nations emerge everyday and the parent nations don't drown. Aren't they obviously being marginalised, Igbos aren't even considered to be president in this nation again, not even a hope of that in the nearest future. It's not by force to mechanically manage a forced unity that's not being willingly supported by the citizens. |

The akpu-eaters are making a big mistake. The flattheads are from the South-East. Nobody (including the chestbeaters themselves) care about the SE. Its a landlocked erosion ridden region with very little resources. You have NOTHING to bargain your freedom with. That's why I believe the flattheads have entered one chance. You will not get Biafra but arrogance will not allow you to admit it. The amala-eaters have a better chance of seccession than the akpu-grubbers. Just placing an embargo on import/export via Lagos Ports is enough to cripple the Nigerian economy - If they really want to do it, the amala-eaters can destroy Nigeria's economy within weeks. The same thing can be said of the South South. If the stop the flow of oil Nigeria will bow down in less than 2 weeks. I have noticed something about flattheads on NL. They are very emotional and stubborn. They lack basic reasoning and reality appraisal. I am a tribalist so the amala-eaters and the flattheads don't appeal to me at all. But being a tribalist does not mean I can not use my brain. I have noticed that the amala-eaters are as also very stubborn and full of cultural pride. However, unlike the flattheads they general tend to use common sense rather emotion. Cone-heads are trouble makers but they tend to be quite strategic. The flattheads on the other hand make too much trouble without any obvious sense or direction or purpose. For the flattheads chestbeating and noise making are done for their own sake, and not a means to an end. Nnamdi Kanu (the Albino) has been making noise on his Short Wave radio, threatening amala-eaters and tuwo-downers with death and destruction. Contrary to what he tells his gullible followers he really does not have an enact-able plan. Somehow he believes that Chukwu Okike Abiama will somehow throw Nigeria into some serious internal upheaval so destabilizing that the Igbos can use the opportunity to restore Biafra. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a plan. This is a recipe for entering 'one-chance.' This is what I have been telling the akpu-eaters. Learn from the amala-eaters because cerebrally they are way way ahead of you. God knows the amala-eaters are cunning and very difficult to figure out. However, there is nothing wrong for the flattheads to learn from their 'enemy.' Biafra will not happen with a divided South. Until the amala-eaters and akpu-eaters mend their relationship, Biafra will continue to be a mirage. The akpu-eating flattheads cannot do it alone. QUOTE ME ANYWHERE |
