Wisefellow, I was opportunned to watch the comedy directed by Saraki. The part that made me off my tv was when Bukola ask d husband to ask d wife a question. I want to know if from yobe state no other person can represent them except Bukka family. God where is your face? Help my nation?

This is not about APC things, PDP senators are present also they fail to ask her questions. Saraki even add salt to wound by asking her husband to ask questions. I'm dumbfounded

The screening of the ministerial nominees by the Senate continued today and it was the turn of a nominee, Khadija Bukar Abba Ibrahim, to be grilled. Honestly, I was expecting the senators to interview and ask questions in relation to the office she held while serving Yobe people and how she can bring that to the national level for positive change we aspire, without minding she's the wife of a serving senator and three-time former Governor of Yobe state.

Instead, what I saw today has revealed that the senators are not ready for the genuine change. The senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki, made the matter worse by calling her husband to ask her wife a question! The husband ought to have sideline himself and allow other people ask meaningful and developmental questions towards are appointment. "Would you be surprised if the house ask you to take a bow"... asked, the husband?

Seriously, was that a screening question by a serious senator? Does these people think Nigerians are fools? Do the senators take Nigeria affair as a paddy-paddy thing? I feel pained and disheartened by what the senators just did.

I expect seriousness on the part of service to our dear nation and this should reflect on every strata of our government and amongst Nigerians. The media houses should condemn what just happened and keep the senators and public officials on their toes. Please!
Leadership of the northerners by the norherners for the northerners.

I should have been the first to post this same complain but I was so angry at the time so I decided to cool off before commenting. So if some1 is related to a lawmaker that automatically absorbs the person from being questioned. This entirely screening process is a complete mess. When Nobody is put on the edge I see absolutely no use for it.

Actually she was asked to take a bow and go, not because her husband is a serving Senator, but because she herself is a member of national assembly. 3 time house of reps member.
Not saying it's a good thing, but it was the convention senate used to clear 2 former senators that are ministerial nominees. Though Lie Mohd didn't deserve it, but they extended the gesture to him.
And same will be extended to Senator Heineken when he comes for his own screening.
Conventions are conventions.
here is a full-blown APC apologist. They will always find a way to defend themselves.

On the flip side... is khadijah's family the only 1 in YOBE?
Grandpa-. Warizi Ibrahim politician
Father-. Politics without bitterness
Husband-. Former gov,3time serving senator
She: former commissioner of transport under husband's administration, serving honourable etc
No wonder she said she was born into a family of politicians....wont be surprised if their children makes up d state house of assembly, commissioners, lga chairmen.....

Why do you think the OP is not replying even when he is quoted. He knows all this, yet he still expects the lady to be treated differently because she is a woman. I don't understand all the hypocrisy going on here. Lai Mohammed who is not even a House of representative member was asked to take a bow, and no one complained or opened a thread about it, but when a House of representative member is asked to do the same, he is here wailing, rubbish. Please don't waste your intelligence on them, they know the truth already.

That woman can only head ministry of women affairs, and I believe that will be her portfolio, anything outside that will be disastrous. That woman has nothing to offer, she and her hubby exudes corruption...

What truth are u talking about? Stop being sentimental. This has nothing to do with gender, but nigeria, what played out today on the floor of the senate was a great shame, didn't u notice the manner in which her hubby asked the ridiculous question? My brother the thing really tire me. With what happened today, I think this idea of screening ministerial nominees should be scrap, it's of no relevance. It's just an opportunity for corrupt lawmakers to enrich themselves. It's a total waste of time and resources...
