Ballmer: This Biafran madness will end the day UN will release the referendum guidelines for cessation, majority of these Semi educated nincompoops marauding our cyber space have no idea how it is done. In Rivers for example with 23LGAs, oyigbo is the only igbo dominated LGA out of 23, these half baked god forsaken traders think that UN will conduct a Biafran referendum there at the expense of Ikwerre, calabari, Okirika, Ogonis etc. Bayelsa has no single Igbo dominated LGA yet they are expecting a referendum, same for cross river, Akwaibom is stradling around Abak area . Delta has about 5 Igbo LGAs that can not even form a referendum quorum. It is clearer that these illiterates have no idea how the real world works. UN was clear on indigenous people rights not indigenous groups right, Biafra will eventually get just 5 states out of 36, I doubt if Nigeria will notice their exit. Also note that the indigenous people's right is tied to indigenous land rights in the 2007 declaration, yet these illiterates are hoping to get Biafra on Efik soil. People just listen to a lunatic on the radio to raise their hopes over nothing. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

jpphilips: Mr troglodyte, Cameroon, CAR, Congo and other central african countries lies east of Nigeria with shoreline contact with the Atlantic just like former Eastern Nigeria, how come they all have viable Ports but Eastern Nigeria. Why should an Aba or ph-based businessman have to travel 800km to lagos to clear goods while the same atlantic is just at his backyard because you nigerians voluntarily underdeveloped or outrightly refuse to build ports in the Eastern coastlines? What manner of monkey are you? You think everyone is daft? So you point to one senseless ecological report as as excuse for being incapable of building viable national ports in the east? If Kano's geographical location is swapped with Igweocha or warri, won't there be a viable port competing with lagos in few year? You failed, fraudulent and frustrated travel agent. 6 Likes |

I don't like commenting on Biafran argument threads but let me use this opportunity to correct the misconceptions in the minds of some people. Okay, agreed, Ijaws, efiks, ibibio and Anangs will not join Biafra. To be sincere, we have no problems about that. The recent protests have shown that if Asaba (anioma) and Igweocha (Ikwerre) are showing support for this agitation. To me, these are the people I need, reason being that, they're my brothers and I won't like to look over the fence and see them maltreated in this country. That aside, the geographical size of the Biafra region is not bigger than two northern states taking into cognizance of the other two people I just added into the equation. Now, let me explain well why Biafra will still be a 1000 ways better than Nigeria. 7 states ( I propose): Anambra: Oil, Agriculture, coal and iron ore Imo: Oil, Agriculture, iron ore Enugu: limestone and Coal. Ebonyi: limestone and agriculture Abia: Oil, Agriculture and iron ore Ikwerre and Obigbo axis: Oil and agriculture Anioma: Oil and agriculture. These are the resources available to the Biafran that can be used to develop the region but one thing you forget about the igbos is that, they're not lazy. Most of them have money without touching oil and gas for over 50years. They still live well and fine. So, you see what we're talking about. Now, there's a misconception that the east doesn't have access to the sea, sorry, you're wrong. Haven done research, I can confidently tell you that the igbos have access to the sea. The confluence river (blue river) connecting Azumiri and Imo river is deep and big. It is just 25miles from the atlantic ocean. This is closer than 3 other seaports in use in Nigeria at the moment. So, the igbos have access to the sea. We've not even talked about Obuaku river. They say the landmass cannot carry its people but I say its false. Lagos is the second smallest state in Nigeria but houses close to 15 to 20million people. Like you said, we're just 35million people. So with adequate planning, everyone will stay in the easy without problems. Remember, the small size of Lagos, we still have the sea cutting through the different parts of Lagos and we still see new locations opening in Lagos with bare lands i.e ibeju lekki, ajah, epe, etc. Therefore, the east can accommodate the number of people it wants. I don't hate anyone in Nigeria. But the truth remains that, our economy cannot carry our population anymore. No matter how hard you try, you'll still need a "foreign investor" to invest in your country. The foreign investor will not plan to stay forever but will carry all the nairas to his country. 1 Like |

Ricovendetta:5) Biafra is not a call for massive exodus to Igbo land. Put differently, every Igbo or Biafran must not live in Biafra land. Those who wish could still maintain their residency wherever they are as well as own properties anywhere in the world, including Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Abeokuta…etc. Not gonna happen 2 Likes |

Ibos are really sooooooo duuuummmbbb!!! How can anyone of these doofuses say that they will get Biafra but still keep property in Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Oyo, etc as a citizen right? Who is deceiving these illiterates? If Nigeria ever does divide you must sell, remove, destroy, or do whatever you like to the property within a fixed, limited period of time because you cease to have any rights or privileges in Nigeria! This is inclusive of employment or student status, you will not keep a job or be able to run the same business after expiry of the period. You will have no say or decision about this, just like Nigeria will have no say in Biafra. If you cannot understand that, then you don't deserve to be called a human being or even alive! 3 Likes |

somegirl1: Overseas how? That is an excuse that even the most unlearned Nigerian will see through but if you mean Nigeria as overseas, you must understand that the terms of separation which must favour and protect Nigerians alone (we are not responsible for Ibos or Biafra) will dictate that you must do whatever you wish to do with your property, job, business, etc and then leave to Biafra! If Nigeria wishes to have anything to do with Ibos (which I am 99% sure it would prefer others from anywhere else over Ibos ), it will open an embassy in a border state and you may apply for a strictly limited visa. That is still Nigeria's prerogative, no Biafra or UN or whatever has a say in that. No guise of overseas would be enough an excuse, and if you must own properties overseas go somewhere else but not in Nigeria and surely it must be on Nigeria's terms! Ibos are so funny! You resign a job today to work elsewhere but you still want your monthly employee benefits in the former place of work? You just for a supposed independence but still want to be a citizen of the same country you just left or have the rights you had previously. How does that even make sense? If Ibos get Biafra, they must leave 100% and never return and these will be well documented even before any separation and you will be 100% surrounded by Nigeria. We will dictate what can be imported and exported through our sea ports or airports and who and what may come in or out. You will have no rights to import weapons or raw materials to import such. You will not be allowed to produce weapons because you are an enemy state and we will have to inspect the entire country on a monthly basis to be sure you are up to no good as usual. 2 Likes |

[quote author=VickJames post=39222254] I don't like commenting on Biafran argument threads but let me use this opportunity to correct the misconceptions in the minds of some people. There is a huge difference between what you think you will get and what you will get eventually, glad you agree that UN will not be s!lly to conduct a referendum in Rivers state, have you forgotten that the 2007 declaration is tied to indigenous land rights? So the likely Ikwerres that will join you by virtue of their land rights are Elele, omagwa and probably isiokpo, those areas have no oil the last time I checked. The Abia/Biafran border may stretch to accommodate Oyigbo and Afam beyond Imo river, those areas are quite profitable no doubt, where I have a serious challenge are the Ikwerres in Phalga, they will lose their land right if they join hence the Kurds scenario will repeat itself, if you cant get all the Ikwerres (indigenous people) then no Ikwerres at all. congregating the Kurds in a particular land mass will amount to a second Israel and the UN can not make that mistake again, with the Kurdish and Bolivia experience, I can confidently tell you that Ikwerre is for Nigeria. That aside, the geographical size of the Biafra region is not bigger than two northern states taking into cognizance of the other two people I just added into the equation. Now, let me explain well why Biafra will still be a 1000 ways better than Nigeria. Your list is Laughable, Rivers state is clear since you mentioned Anioma, let me tell you how it will likely play out, you may stretch the Biafran border beyond the Niger river to accommodate Asaba, ibuzo, Ogwashi, no issues there, Nigeria will be more than glad to let them go since they have no economic benefit, where you will have a problem is accommodating Kwale the home of "Gas" in delta state. Kwale is straddling between Urhobo and Isoko so the UN will not allow them to join because of other indigenous interests. If you lose kwale, then your Sojourn in Delta is pretty useless. I am yet to see where indigenous people are allowed to leave their land behind, that is what will happen to kwale if they join Biafra. so that area is subject to further interpretations. You seem not to know that there is a difference between River, Sea and Ocean abi? You think that the logistics challenges killing orient is a joke abi? do you have any Idea how much orient spend to barge their oil through those rivers you mentioned before offloading into a tanker in Bonny? why not suggest to them to send the Tanker straight to omambala river because you are the Geo smartest in Nigeria. A river that can not accommodate ordinary oil tanker you think you stand a chance with Cargo vessels? dream on!! 2 Likes 1 Share |

somegirl1: Nigerian law as it is today vested land ownership in the hands of the Government solely there is nothing Cameroon, Togo, Benin republic, Dahomey or Ghana can do about it. Now, If Nigeria decides that "land Occupation" is a citizen right, there is absolutely nothing Biafra can do about it, all biafran C of O's will cease to exist forth with. That is one sad news nnamdi Kanu is yet to tell his minions. I am not against people breaking away, like the President said, be ready to live with the consequences of your actions. 1 Like |
