Lool.

Hateful clown, at least she doesn't look like an Igbotic she-male.

Yorubas in the House of Lords

- Baron Victor Adebowale (He has been there since 2001).

- Baroness Lola Young (She has been there since 2004).

Suck on that, disgusting pig.
You should not have dignified that thing with a response.

A 19-year-old final year student, Aisha Eniola, was recently voted overwhelmingly as the Councillor of Brent Council in London, UK.

Her brilliance during the debates which preceded the election warmed her into the hearts of residents of the ward.

Aisha polled 2,160 votes to be elected, defeating Simon Erskine, of the Green Party, who garnered 459 votes and Paul Fowler, of the Liberal Democrat, who polled 313.

Labour has continually held on to Harlesden, which remains one of their strongest wards in the Borough.

She is currently the youngest Councillor in Brent council and stated that she hoped to inspire youths to participate in politics.

You go girl...

And she has normal human shaped eyebrows and no ojuju calabar make up, no surgically enhanced cleavage is showing. Now this is what i call role model material. Nigerian female students do take note and stop spending all your pocket money on human hair, foundation, powder, 50eye pencils per week, padded underwear, cosmetic surgery etc....It is not a criteria for success biko

Nah, that is just unnecessary hate and it is unacceptable.

She can't be calling a teenager building her CV and doing the right thing, while girls her age are either making babies or trying to look good for Instagram - ugly and smelly.

She's an inspiration to a lot of teenagers and what she said was uncalled for, regardless of how small the achievement is.

Nigerians making waves round the world and yet some detractors will still come here and turn this into a tribal thing!

Why cant we just be happy for once that OUR OWN is achieving something positive that most cannot even aspire to.

This young Nigerian is an inspiration! Keep it up!!!

Secondly, the Nigerian constitution is not youth friendly! No 19 years old can ever become a common ward councillor in this current political dispensation. This is because the constitution has limits on age! These limits must be revisited. A 21 years old, I believe, is mature enough to lead, at least at the local level. We need progressive changes! Our youths must arise and demand to be allowed participation in active partisan politics by vying for positions!!!

Omonnakoda please take note! I know you will soon come and derail this thread with TRIBALISTIC INNUENDOS but GOD WIN!!!
She was put into the british government for her brilliance in debating, while Amaechi was put in for 'paying dues' (using Rivers money for elections, having public beef with PDP members in newspapers), and they're both Nigerian.

The youth are ready but our so called elders will not step aside, they keep forgetting that some day, these same youths will become elders and if they are not prepared for the responsibility of leadership when they are young then when they get to power we will continue to fail as a nation

I met another 19-year old 9ja university chic contesting for this same Brent council over 10 years ago. I don't know if she won then.

She must have inspired this one.

However, the position is not mostly paid. But you get your expenses paid.

Thats good for her. Congrats. Well, it is just more of demograhic thing. Brent is minority white but majority black/asians/brit carib. You need to be in east london to understand better. Thesame goes to peckham in south east london with almost half the population apart from fast increasing asian Population. Chances of white winning election is very slim. Is like what we see here in Eko where it is not possible for a yoruba person to win election like satelite festac, okota, ajegungle etc because of igbo population to the extent of having one federal house/ two state house rep of igbo origin. The other day i saw one igbo woman who won a seat in lagos federal constutiency been interviewed, then i realised one of the reasons of south west hostilities on SEners. These things are not a problem in the Uk. Enter parts of peckham and you may think you are in new delhi or take a short drive from london to Birmgham and you will think you are in mecca. You need to travel out. Life is far larger than igbo yoruba's squabbles or lagos the only city in the world. Get a visa and jaunt out of your holes.

Well said....but u made it sound like southwest hostilities on southeasterners is d only type dat exists. I was in the south south months ago and also experienced hostile treatments from southeasterners and southsoutherners. Even ds thread shows the feeling goes in more than one way. Sorry for you! So just because a Yoruba girl came victorious in a councillorship election in the UK you want to use to insult the igbos. Well congrats to her.

I will like to bring to your myopic and uninformed knowledge that in a parliamentary election held in UK in May, 4 Nigerians came victorious. Now you tell what tribe it looks like people with the following names that won the parliamentary membership would come from:
Chuka Harrison Umunna
Chi Onwurah

Others are; Helen Grant
Kate Osamor.

Look at the names with your best of intelligence and tell us what tribe in Nigeria they would likely Hail from.

You Yorubas should brag low.

Senseless write up! So because a Yoruba girl in the UK came victorious in a councillorship election igbos should be insulted? You are nothing but clown. Very uninformed.

Do I need to bring to your knowledge or remind you that 4 Nigerians came out victorious in the parliamentary election held in same UK in May this year? Should you don't know or forgotten, check out the names and tell the world what tribe in Nigeria they Hail from:

Chuka Harrison Umunna
Chi Onwurah
Kate Osamor and
Helen Grant.

You Yorubas think you are the best tribe in Nigeria but you are mistaking. You people are full of brags on a any little achievement. Now tell me, can u compare a councillorship position to being a member of the UK Parliament?

Don't worry, watch as an igbo man becomes the prime minister of UK and you all will be shamed.

Tribalists!

No shame at all.
