Sorry for you! So just because a Yoruba girl came victorious in a councillorship election in the UK you want to use to insult the igbos. Well congrats to her.

I will like to bring to your myopic and uninformed knowledge that in a parliamentary election held in UK in May, 4 Nigerians came victorious. Now you tell what tribe it looks like people with the following names that won the parliamentary membership would come from:
Chuka Harrison Umunna
Chi Onwurah

Others are; Helen Grant
Kate Osamor.

Look at the names with your best of intelligence and tell us what tribe in Nigeria they would likely Hail from.

You Yorubas should brag low.
why
do you ibos brag low

Senseless write up! So because a Yoruba girl in the UK came victorious in a councillorship election igbos should be insulted? You are nothing but clown. Very uninformed.

Do I need to bring to your knowledge or remind you that 4 Nigerians came out victorious in the parliamentary election held in same UK in May this year? Should you don't know or forgotten, check out the names and tell the world what tribe in Nigeria they Hail from:

Chuka Harrison Umunna
Chi Onwurah
Kate Osamor and
Helen Grant.

You Yorubas think you are the best tribe in Nigeria but you are mistaking. You people are full of brags on a any little achievement. Now tell me, can u compare a councillorship position to being a member of the UK Parliament?

Don't worry, watch as an igbo man becomes the prime minister of UK and you all will be shamed.

Tribalists!

You guys are not ashamed of yourselves at all, in a country where Abubakar can not be the governor of Anambra state even if he was born and bred in Anambra, I'm surprised that you all love it when Nigerians get political seats abroad.

The queen of England didn't chose a candiate and force others to vote for him/her or be thrown into the Thames. In yoruba system of reasoning this girl insulted her host.

no,the ibos can run
it is the way they demanded for their candidate by force knowing they are the minority
instead of going out to vote

Honestly, the youth should be getting ready for the next election . Nairaland can be used to eliminate these greedy politicians. I believe with one voice this forum can be used to birth a party for d youth. We've got what it takes. We are large enough to do it

Nigerians making waves round the world and yet some detractors will still come here and turn this into a tribal thing!

Why cant we just be happy for once that OUR OWN is achieving something positive that most cannot even aspire to.

This young Nigerian is an inspiration! Keep it up!!!

Secondly, the Nigerian constitution is not youth friendly! No 19 years old can ever become a common ward councillor in this current political dispensation. This is because the constitution has limits on age! These limits must be revisited. A 21 years old, I believe, is mature enough to lead, at least at the local level. We need progressive changes! Our youths must arise and demand to be allowed participation in active partisan politics by vying for positions!!!

Omonnakoda please take note! I know you will soon come and derail this thread with TRIBALISTIC INNUENDOS but GOD WIN!!!

to be honest with you, your write up is contrary to your name "PROUD OLODO". You must be a nice person. Good people are every where. 2 of my best friends are yorubas from Ekiti and Osun. Igbos do have there problem but i want to say that they do attract un neccessary envy by their aggressiveness be it in the south africa or in the city of Dallas, or far new Delhi where they forcefully planted a huge market among the hostile indians or even in far chinese nation. Yorubas are also great in their own way especially in culture and entertaiment. Igbos are greedy, yorubas are treacherous.

http://thecitizenng.com/financial-crime/temitayo-daramola-arik-crew-member-accused-of-drug-possession-charged-to-uk-court/

Arik Air crew-member, Temitayo Daramola, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrate Court charged with possessing cocaine with a street value of £600,000, during the airline’s Lagos to London flight on the evening of Monday, May 20. Daramola was arrested by UK Border officials on airport shuttle bus used to transport aircrew members after the plane had landed at Heathrow Airport. “The first hearing was on May 22 at Uxbridge Magistrate Court and she was in court today via video link,” one male staff disclosed.  Before her case is transferred to a Crown Court where she will face a jury trial, Daramola, 37, will make one final appearance before magistrates at the same court on June 4. Home Office Press Officer, Simon Alford, also confirmed to The Guardian Tuesday that Daramola would be in court on June 4. In a statement he sent following The Guardian’s enquiry, he revealed that Daramola was in possession of six kilogrammes of cocaine and that the colleague arrested with her had been released without charge. Titled: “Air stewardess charged over Heathrow cocaine seizure”, it stated that “An air stewardess has been charged following the seizure of around six kilos of cocaine at Heathrow Airport. It is estimated that the cocaine, if cut and sold on the UK streets, could have had a potential street value of around £600,000. “37-year-old Temitayo Daramola was later charged with attempting to import a Class A drug. On Wednesday, May 22, she appeared before Uxbridge Magistrates where she was remanded in custody until her next court appearance on June 4. A second crew- member arrested at the same time as Daramola has now been released.”

Guy, have you studied British law? Those guys are actually British citizens o! Regardless of where their parents or ancestors came from, they were born there or they have naturalised and are now regarded as fully British. Therefore they can aspire to the highest office in the land! cheesy

And I am sure none of them got to those positions by insulting the Queen or those in authority, or treating those in their party or community hierarchy, with contempt. Neither did they use expletives on other native born British citizens, like most of you Igbo and Yoruba folks do, on NL.

Nigeria does not have laws yet, that allow you to be regarded as a citizen of any area where you are domiciled. So it would take a long while for an Igbo man to become a governor of Lagos State. undecided

Why am I even thinking in that direction, when the Igbo want Biafra?? shocked

But in Nigeria, we have indigenes and visitors. Visitors have to bow to the hosts and lick their arses. Why are we celebrating her achievement when we are not willing to accommodate one another as equals wherever we find ourselves in Nigeria?

Imagine a 19 yr old girl of Nigerian descent running and winning in foreign land, whereas some people were deported from one state to another in Nigeria. We should be crying. We should all cover our faces in shame. We like the way things are done in other places but we will never do same in our own clime.
