I am very grateful that this get to Niaraland. First Bank is not a bank to entrust your money or anything with because there customer care is the world worst. I am living in US and my Master card expired and contacted FirstContact for renewer of my card. The issue of the card is on now for more than eight month. Bros please close the account from First Bank they are useless. I just don't want to name the people I contact here on Nairaland for security reason if not i would have put their names and email here for the world to see how useless they are. I will copy this link to the next email I will send to them to see how their life turn to. They are not suppose to be called First Bank their name should be Last Bank. |

Quick question everyone, so if I use the OPs card to buy things on Aliexpress, will someone say I've stolen it?? I think the OP is an ignorant person- wouldn't want to say foolish, since that will be considered an insult Card name:AKINOLA GBENGA Card Pan:5399 2320 5893 0170 Expiry date: 12/17 In all fairness, this data is sufficient to shop in over 1000 stores on the internet. @OP, no insult intended, you're too dumb to use the technology. Cc@ ga040 @Moderator, please delete or mask out these details on all posts. Its a pity the banks refunded you, you do not deserve it Cc: Seun, cc lalastica |

CIA12345:I don't know your issue with them, but u deserved to be treated the way they're treating you. You're advising the guy to close his account, why not close yours? So because your bank- last bank have not renewed your card for 8months, someone else with a separate issue should close his account, who forbids you from closing yours?? Learn to think before speaking, it will do you a lot of good |

akike:So when refunds are made, it's because the bank stole the money There are rules regarding card and refunds, learn before u speak. |

moneybag100:Not true, the OP is talking about ATM card and not credit card...credit cards have more protections, but ATM cards, not as much, even in the US. |

ga040:Congrats on the quick refund. But I think you should lodge a formal complaint with the appropriate authority apart from the bank involved. If you don't, they will soon do the same thing to another customer. Please, I encourage you to alert the authorities by filing a formal complaint. Someone inside the bank or at the Nest Buy Store might hacked your account, done something fishy, or why was the money so swifty returned? |

Mine is a month plus now, my Access Bank card was used in Netherlands, all my money gone, they keep on trying till my card got blocked. I fill the charge back form, but I'm yet to receive my money. The last alert I received was at dellmont in Luxembourg after my card was blocked. What should I do to get my money back?

ga040:Sorry for your loss Dude. However I observed that you are too ignorant on simple security issues as regards payment cards. As at yesterday you had all your PAN (the numbers on card face) listed here, including the expiry date, meanwhile anybody in the know could have used those digits you freely listed to scam you again. Only your bank officials should have your card details if you are making such a complaint. The truth is that the way you go about exposing your card details, anybody could have used your details to shop online non-stop till the funds are finished, especially in the US market that is not EMV complaint to standard PCIDSS. The best thing is even to beg Seun to delete this thread because it is a clear evidence that you personally violated your card security. |

erekoshe:Sorry but I insist When money is withdrawn from your account anyhow without your consent , it is called theft. It doesn't matter whether it is refunded or not Do not quote me again. You are beginning to irritate me |

Laredojohn:you dont comment on issues when you are ignorant of process surrounding it. yes we know fraud is internal and external..but it will surprise you to know that bank staff don't have access to customers full details of cards. back to the main issue.. the affected person must have used his card on a pos in the US. fraudsters can implant a skimming device on the pos of a merchant without the merchant knowing... then subsequent users of that pos will have their details captured by the skimming device which the fraudster use to gain unauthorize access to making purchases via web with the card details.... in most develop countries.. ppl prefer to using prep aid cards and get it block after usage to avoid fraud. the said merchant would have declined it because he Actaully released goods to the fraudster who used the hacked card details to make web purchase. chargeback have duration of 90days of which when elapsed with the merchant bank declining the complaint. the Nigerian bank is no longer liable. fraud is even rampant in the said developed countries |

ga040:This same thing happened to me through my diamond bank card. Shopped at a store in New York as well, think one of the sales person cloned my card ( I suspect) ... Was home days later and received alert that my card was used to make a purchase at Nordstrom ( luxury store) over $500 gone from my card, debit was about N108,000 or so as I recall. Immediately called my bank, card was blocked, investigation launched, followed the issue up when I got back to nigeria. 95% of the Money was refunded back to my card after two months of consistently following the case up. Haven't used my diamond bank card since then, fear is real lol! I'm like, if my card can be easily cloned then their bank cards are definitely very susceptible to fraud. |
