Let The Biafrans Go If They Choose To Go. by chapatti(op): 12:39am On Oct 23, 2015
Sometimes, it is not wise to challenge the very verdict of some experts in a particular field of study. Some time ago, it was predicted by some political experts that Goodluck Jonathan might be the last President to rule a united Nigeria. And others said in 2015, Nigeria will divide. Well, as it is, non of these verdicts and predictions have had their ways. But, don't you think we are beginning to see some of the manifestations of these expert judgments? some will say God will not permit the division of Nigeria. Yes as it may stand. But are we sure God does not want the reverse? What if God is in support of this? We all knew how many lives were lost during the Nigeria-Biafra Civil war. Over 2 million persons where killed.

These were the blood of human beings. Yet the blood of these ones did not and have not quenched the taste for a Biafran Repulblic by the the Eastern people of Nigeria. Are we going slay more innocent lives and blood in the name of one Nigeria? Does it worth it? President Goodluck Jonathan said, "Nobody's live is worth his presidential ambition'.

Are we sure Nigeria as a voice isn't saying the same thing? Does the fact that we want to keep Nigeria as one end up claiming the lives of those She promise to safeguard? Why don't our leaders come to a compromise and call for a national dialogue and see how things can be sorted out. One, there was a civil war in America when California wanted to break out.

After that, they never brought up the issues. Cant we allow history to teach us?Why don't we ask California why they never agitated for self governance again? The reason is not far fetched. These people are not feeling the sweetness of the federal government, state government, and the local government. The centre is weak and so therefore the sides cannot hold their ground.

Few questions need answers on this issue. First, who are the Biafrans? Second, assuming it is the South - East en bloc that is Biafra isn't the population density presently obtainable there such as would keep the Biafrans pouring into an understandably unfriendly Nigeria? Thirdly, on the balance of strategic and long-term convenience wouldn't it be better to negotiate a better Nigeria for the South-East than have a Biafra historically not trusted by the South-South? Fourthly, as noted by Prof. Chinua Achebe isn't the typically noisy nature of the South-Easterner calculated to attract attention and put others down as inferior not counter productive to the unavoidable thrust to earn the trust of other people groups and countries? I wish IPOB well!

They should face their Northern/Yoruba political masters and their political igbotic traitors who keeps mum on the biafra matter. As for Yoruba citizens, we're not hold them.

The last time I checked, I'm not hiding the key to Biafra.

Nice article! Personally for me, I am not surprised that the SE are still clamouring for a separate entity from this whole called Nigeria. The reason I am not surprised cannot be unconnected with the fact Nigeria is being run by Tribalists, Cabals, Thieves and what have you. I am not saying I'm in or not in support on Biafra but I feel that, truly the SE has been neglected, not only the SE or Igbos though the rest tribes and particularly the SS. Do Nigerians actually think the South can have a stake on Crude Oil had it been it is in the North? The answer is NO. I keep saying it, nonsense has been going on in Nigeria for too long, old cargoes with no future roadmap to a better Nigeria keep dampening the hope and aspiration of Nigerians tenure-in tenure-out. Unless Nigerians, old and young, come out to seize this pest I don't see Nigeria changing. For the records, we are practising civilian rule not democracy. The level of corruption in Nigeria is alarming.... I say it here and now that Buhari is not the good leader that will reform Nigeria, We have a long way to go......

Fetishes yorubas claims all the goodie goodies. Diabolical yorubas claims sophistication and progressive, then

Why do yorubas still want be in the same country with violent-illiterate hausa-fulani?

Why do yorubas still want to be with uncultured igbos?

What is wrong with yorubas?
Or are yorubas simply living on lies?

Why are yorubas confused hypocrites?

Let Ijaw oil dry and see how fast Hausa chase you out of Nigeria.
So Yorubas are the key holder of Biafra? Are Yorubas tying you down?
You guys really don't want to leave. If you do, you'll stop moving to Yorubaland.

Until then, you cowards will remain in Nigeria.

Is anybody holding them back?

Are they prevented from asking all Biafrans to return to their region?

Has anyone forced them to use the Nigerian passport?

I thought they once had Biafran currency, has anyone stopped them from using it?

Has anyone forced their senators and reps to attend sittings?

Yeye dey smell!

When the Biafrans are ready for secession, they will use their brain.

A people who are so divided and resentful will always fail at getting it right.

Don't mind the fools.. they do as if Yorubas decide their destiny.. if they want to secede, they should quickly leave SW and migrate to their land.. till then no one will take them serious..but I don't blame the ones in Lagos, who will migrate to the pictures below... when they live in lekki or even when they sell gala in traffic... na hunger go finish them.. let them go na

Rose2014:
Hypocrisy/mischief is when Yorubas read that Tonyebarcanista's post and saw that he desires a restructured Nigeria but they chose to be silent on that hence won't address it(or maybe they're too scared to speak )

Rather they were busy having orgasm on the part he doesn't support Radio biafra

Like Dearpreye once said "Nigeria has a date with the truth"
We're just busy dancing atilogu round the problem cheesy
erikcantona:
...We are no longer answering that name called ss we now knw better ! Together we are stronger !! We are biafrans mind you am from rivers state
dejavski:
Am ilaje and I support BIAFRA... though in a peaceful manner.
I have come to realise that most yorubas are really scared of secession but they won't admit it

Quote me anywhere
mankand:
Guts comes with glory. One thing I like about Nnamdi Kanu is that he is very articulate and organised.

He knows how to organise his people around his dream, he can be the next Che in Africa because he is fighting a just cause but due to the mainstream media propaganda, a lot of people won't see and agree to this.

He have been able to gather the support of the igbo people worldwide both indigenous, in diaspora and those whose ancestors were taken to slave in Europe, America and Latin America which have now become a force to recon with.

Unfortunately my people yorubas are still under the chain of mental slavery donating
their hard earned money to fake men called pastors instead of donating their money to organise themselves to build another oduduwa nation. We also have the same capacity to do the same as IPOB but we won't.

We also have yorubas all over Latin America, Europe, and other parts of the world.

I wish IPOB success in their quest because with their success, it becomes a motivation for other regions in Africa to do the same
tunjion:
The truth is we yorubas should stop opening thread to speak for south south minority.

Biafra from wat i read is not by force. Igbos in Edo such as the igbanke and Ika are Biafrans without doubt.

Other Edo ethnic group might even be rejected by Biafra. Some will end up applying to join.

Sentiment aside, they might feel Hausa and Yoruba will dominate them if they remain in Nigeria
new2020:
I'm not Igbo. I'm just knowledgeable of their achievements. Read below...Igbos have led in every achievement ahead of the Yorubas up until the civil war. Yorubas only got ahead after the war when the Igbos lost everything and seriously damaged by the war...that was the only way yorubas could get ahead. Awolowo was very much aware of this agenda which is why he offered yorubas free education while starving Igbos at the same time. You get it? However Igbos have since reclaimed that position since 2000.

Read below article. Again Igbos are not your mate. Whites are aware of this!

ceaz4r:
The phobia you and your lots have for the Igbos have become so obvious is now a sour to the eyes.
Whether your concern for the vaibility of the Biafran state when it comes is genuine or faulse, it doesn't scratch us one bit. In fact, we don't and won't notice.
Stay in your enclave there and watch.

* one advice for you, buy a carton of panadol extra and desolve the madicine in a basin of water to form syrup, also buy a straw. When the pounding headache from thinking about Biafra gets too unbearable, you sip some of the syrup. You will need it.
