So in essence you are saying that the igbos should boycott the election? Well, no problem. The entire Riverians are more than enough to return Wike to power. Thanks for your earlier support for Wike!

You forgot that Asari Dokobu is against Wike.

Ms Briggs and Asari Dokobu want power to be shifted to the riverine area.

This is an opportunity to do that.

Next is Obiano of Anambra state. cool
We shall get radio Biafra to thoroughly make sure that all the governors who betray Biafra will lose by so wide a margin that rigging would be impossible to save their hides.

THE IKWERRES HAVE BEEN RULING A LONG TIME.LET THEM GIVE THOSE FROM THE RIVERINE AREAS A CHANCE.
After they will start telling us how Igbos are expansionist and dominating;yet, they are the ones greedily dominating everyone in Rivers. Was Rivers state created for them alone ?This is the reason why they fear to identify with the larger Igbo nation. They are afraid that they would be unable to compete. They'd rather have a small kingdom of theirs where they would exercise total monopoly over the minority.
I don't give a damn about PDP and APC...i would love Dakuku Peterside to win for the sake of justice and equity grin

Ndigbo must continue to oppose APC. APC does not care about igbos one bit. I believe Wike will win his appeal case but if the election is rerun igbos should vote Wike 100%. After all we stood behind Jonathan even though he didn't do much for us. It is a matter of principle

If we should stick out our neck for Wike, and be seen as anti- Dakuku, with the risk that comes with it, should Dakuku win, (cos let's be real, he is a human being and should feel angry with us for being against him, and that anger will come with consequences on Igbo community in Rivers) Why then couldn't Wike stick out his neck for us by simply ignoring the APC ranting, instead of making mockery of the Biafran struggle, and labelling our peaceful protest as disturbance of public peace?

I pray Wike wins in the court, but if he doesn't, and a re run takes place, Wike should not expect Ndiigbo to stick out our neck for him.

Those of us that like him should still vote him, but we must not be seen in public making open endorsement for him as a bloc.

That era has passed.

is rivers a mono ethnic state? How can you read the devilish statement from APC on the protest and not respond as a governor? Wike is better than APC. Amaechi during the Senate screening stressed he was a true Nigerian. Do you know what that means? Abandoning Wike is supporting APC. I believe igbos know who to support.

If we don't start throwing these anti-Biafra governors under the bus we will never gain anything politically in Nigeria.
We won't even be able to carry out a peaceful demonstration in support of Biafra (which most of our people want) because these idiotic governors will issue shoot at sight orders against our people.

I don't like Wike or Dakuku, and don't hate any of them.

I only have one agenda, that is the Emergence of Republic of Alaigbo.

Nigeria politics is not about principles, the people we are dealing with have shown they are not ready to abide by any particular principle, but are ever ready to change their principles as and when needed to achieve whatever regional or tribal agenda they have.

Ndiigbo must learn to do the same from now onwards. Our Igbo principle of "ofor na ogu" has failed us. It's time we adopt "ako na uche" principle.

And right now, ako na uche demands that Ndiigbo remain neutral in the coming rivers state 're run.
No public endorsement of any candidate, no bloc voting.
We remain simply neutral and congratulate the winner between Wike and Dakuku.

Thank you very much. But this is coming late as usual. The same approach should have been used in the last election. Where what Buhari needed from the SE was just an audience and a little bit of support. But the paid goons who called themselves Igbo leaders blew that opportunity to the wind. Even if there was a general consensus to vote GEJ, Ndigbo should have kept it to themselves rather than come out in the open to give useless endorsements.Ndigbo were foolish enough to carry Jonathan's presidencial ambition on their head, even when obvious he wasn't Igbo.

The GEJ experiment was a necessary one, Ndiigbo needed to make before we moved on.

With that sacrifice, we can comfortably move on, knowing we owe our neighbors or anyone in Nigeria, nothing. We also through that experiment, learnt how to speak in one voice for a very long time in our history.

It was a step needed for our political evolution, if you ask me. Somethings are better experienced.
That experiment will never be repeated again.

Never again will any group or person interest be put ahead of the Igbo agenda, never again!

And it's not late, for as long as the Earth exists, there will always be opportunities for us to play it better.

And I believe it starts with this Rivers re run.
Let us all help as much as we can to create this awareness amongst our people, sell this agenda and spread it as we did the GEJ agenda.

No, of course not. But that is exactly the point!
When an APC non-Igbo governor issues a shoot at sight against IPOB or MASSOB, our argument will be simple: They are killing Igbos.
Now if you make that same argument with Wike, some foreign power will ask you: "but your governor is Igbo".
The real puppeteer in the North will play innocent.
You understand now

My verdict is that: Ndiigbo in Rivers should boycott this Rivers re run election, since neither Wike nor The APC is on the same page with us.

We play it cool, and congratulate the winner between Wike and APC, but giving Wike a bloc vote we must avoid, so that when he loses, we wouldn't be bearing the cross of someone who isn't actually with us to start with.
We must not be seen as enemies of APC in Rivers state, and we must not be seen as support base of Wike.

We play it neutral in Rivers state. No open endorsement of any candidate by any Igbo group. If you must vote, do so individually.

Voice of Jacob claiming Esau. Your selfish interest is what you're after and not that of the larger Igbo nation. This was the same game you and your paid folks played during the last election - by portraying PDP interest as Igbo interest. The gullible ones among us bought it, while thinking it would benefit them. But no it didn't. You and your amateur politicians should learn to separate party interest from ethnic interest.
Ndigbo should use their head and not their heart. Do not join anyone or group to endorse the candidature of any of the Governorship aspirants. Let them slug it out themselves. If Wike reclaims his mandate we shall congratulate him. However, if Dakuku Peterside emerges victorious, we shall also not fail to send him our heartfelt wishes. The game remains Neutrality..

The recent development in Rivers state that saw Wike lose his electoral mandate with a re run to be scheduled is quite an intriguing one.

There seem to be a grand plan by the central government controlled APC to seize control of two of Nigeria most lucrative states of Rivers and Akwa-Ibom. This plan in Rivers is being hatched using willing tools
in the state.

In the center of all these is Wike, the embattled governor of the state, and also the flag bearer of PDP in the state,
In the lead up to the last election, he had the then PDP controlled FG behind him, and easily coasted to victory at the polls using all the state apparatus at his disposal.

But this time around, he is in an uncharted territory, the FG apparatus is not in his favour, his master GEJ is out of power and isn't of much help to him now, worst still his arch rival, Amaechi has grown in leaps and bounds with the help of the APC controlled FG. The clouds are gathering above him.

It is believed that the population of SE Igbos in Rivers state is massive and second only to those of Rivers indigenes, , Wike during the last elections sensed this and made sure he won the Igbo votes by appealing to the Igbo emotions, Wike was seen portraying himself as Ojukwu, and the APC as enemies.
The akwa ibom people come next in terms of population in rivers.

Leave Rivers people to sort themselves

We Igbos dey fond of buying yeye market

Instead of Wike to keep quiet on the Biafra issue, he was busy threatening IPOB

He should lead his people to war if the election is rigged cool

This is the difference between leaders from Arewa and Oduduwa, any group promoting their interest, no matter how controversial or violent, they never publicly castigate (BOKO HARAM, OPC, TINUBU). But for the East, a legacy of trying to please others, disunity, greed, and even fear, has lead to a hole in leadership.

Remember when Omehia won his election inn 2007, started demolishing illegal structures, started to make economic packs with Ohakim (before Ohakim also chickened out and joined PDP) and the next thing you know the powers that be via the Supreme Court threw his election out and said Rotimi "should have been" the PDP flagbearer and thus automatically the victor. (You can see that logic right?)

And of course, the strategy for the Kaduna mafia worked, as Rotimi fulfilled his role as a traitor to his region for 8 years and is currently being rewarded though he did nothing as governor except dance and run mouth at interviews stammering left and right.

Too bad for the East/Midwest
