Delta Governorship election Tribunal sitting in Asaba, Delta State has thrown out the case of Labour Party Governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru challenging Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The court also fined Ogboru the sum of N50,000 to be paid to Okowa. Meanwhile, the court also struck out the petition brought by APC governorship candidate, Chief O'tega Emerhor challenging the incumbent Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for lack of merit. Ifeanyi Okowa remains the governor of Delta State against all odds. Let's air our opinion on this matter. This is a serious issue even though I saw it coming. Other tribunals such as Akwa-Ibom and Rivers States' tribunals were held at Abuja. Any case against PDP held at Asaba is already a goner!!! 5 Likes |

Bad news. Okowa, honestly I looked at him like Buhari. But, his first month in office showed he has the PDP, corruption DNA in his blood. HungerBAD:Bad news for some, good news for other. Okowa's people are already celebrating. Anyway, Im sure LP and APC will still spend more money taking the matter to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. |

Also in the news before the tribunal's ruling: The immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, wants Deltans, especially members of the Peoples Democratic Party, to remain calm and steadfast following the tribunal ruling nullifying the election of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
