Please is it safe to add ovaltine to baby cereals (he is 9months). My son takes the cereal well anytime i add ovaltine to it.

Just want to confirm before i continue with this habit.

Hello mums. I'm a FTM to a 2weeks old baby. First of all ihave flat nipples. Which has made it difficult for him to latch well for breastfeeding. Also, my right breast is engorged and idunno what to do. Please anyone with this kinda experience. Please advice on what to do. Thank you.

last time i visited d hosp, i saw where n how a nurse used a syringe wtout d needle 2 pul out d nipple of a nursin mother n d baby was able 2 suck. So i advice u ask a nurse 2 help u out.

helo mamas, my 3wks lo stools n farts alot while bf. N he also goes tru severe stomach pain dat i even fil 4 him n ds makes him uncomfortable, even wen he s slipin. Pls wot do i do 2 remedy d stomach ache,cos am so woried.

It's a gud tin he's passing wind well. Babies @ dat stage can have abt 6-5 diaper change wit small poo.its nothing to worry abt
Tummy time(place ur baby on his tummy)wit supervision for abt 5-10mins daily,tummy massage(place him on his back and massage his tummy in a circular motion) and bicycle motion(move his legs like he's riding bicycle) helps wit the pain.

Sorry sis, try express out the engorged breast and ensure u wear firm bras. U can go to the hosp and let a nurse help, u can also try pulling out wit ur hand many times a day then ensure ur baby latch well,it also helps in bringing out the nipple

It happens sumtims provided u r nt sexually active,if u knw u hv bn safe wit kpekusing, den u hvae nothing to worry abt but if not,u nid to go to d hosp to rule out anoda missionary journey. Hope dis helps

If he likes it maybe you can continue to add it in moderate quantity. I'm not sure how sugary it is though but i don't see it doing any harm actually!

Thanks for the response. i tried feeding him without the ovaltine this morning but he refused the cereal, so i added a little to it.

Do a PT first to rule out pregnancy. If its negative, then I don't think u need to worry

thanks maam 4 ur reply, i ll try out d massage n d bicycle tin. Am now ok, thanks 4 askin.

Thank you very much. We have been trying on the latching now. The engorged breast is now so engorged that the nipples are flat and dry and no milk is dripping like it used to. I was told by the doctor to go for a scan. I pray it gets better.
