Why can't you simply join hands with other well-meaning Nigerians to turn our great country into a first class country? Have you ever considered the fact that only 33% of the Igbos resident in Nigeria actually live in the East? You are better off embracing this great country and you do unborn generations of Igbos a disservice by promoting this Biafra. I know that you are a civil war veteran, but even you should be honest with yourself and admit that it is time to let bygones be bygones. You people lost the war - it is a simple fact and nothing to be ashamed of. It is time to move on.

How can you say he should let bygones be when there is an unwritten law that Igbo will not be allowed to rule Nigeria again? How can you accept a nation that don't want you to rule?

Good luck to Biafra.
I think you'll find the non Biafrans mainly against it are the trolls. The 'for' and 'against' groups always looking for the faintest opportunities to have the last word.

Probably with political maturity, there can be talks on how to amicably split if it boils down to that. The current modus operandi ala Mr N.K would only bring forward alternative macabre scenarios for all sides which at this time is not a good suggestion.

The only reason why people are taking the Biafra talk seriously now is because of Mr. Nnamdi Kalu modus operandi. In the days of Uwazuruike pacifist approach who paid him any attention. How about the BILIE group (I doubt if many have even heard of them) that are going through constitutional means, who's listening to them? Personally, I think Mr. Nnamdi Kalu approach is not as effective enough. Nigeria will pay more attention to "shock and awe" any day than they will do "rant and rave".

Perhaps, Kalu should go beyond rhetoric, and if heaven fall, it will fall on all of us. Those who believe that in the event of war, the fight will be in SE soil are grossly mistaken. The last war got to Ore, surely Biafran planners will not need to persuasion to take it to Lagos and Abuja and beyond. It won't just be to defend Biafra territories but to let the aggressors also feel the impact of the war and force them to negotiate.

Best option is to negotiate now via a referendum, war won't be good for both Biafra and Nigeria. We could be good neighbors, or bitter foes, coming events will decide.

Nice one. As you know, the world has also advanced in that one bomb can kill thousands. You want to repeat the follies of the Biafran war again. When you start, know that we won't stop until the last man is dead. You think the silence of the Yoruba is stupidity?! Try to attack us and see the result. We will not stop or listen till you are all finished. UN will only observe, they will not be able to save you.

Please stop calling Yoruba's into your frustration. How many times have you heard Yoruba's off NL discussing Biafra. Biafra is not important to us and we don't care about it at all. Just make sure the greed of Biafra does not pass the SE. You attach so much importance to Biafra and yourself.

Life is all about selfish. That why siblings that grew up in one house, one day fly the next, marry, build their own house and have his own family without saying every stay at home as one happy family.
What is selfish is you calling me choice selfish and yours honourable. I respect your choice, I just wish your accorded mine the same respect.

Great post, but you may as well have written it in Ancient Greek. Choice is a strange word to people like him. In his world there are rulers and slaves. No middle ground.

I am a Yoruba. I don't engage in boasts. I wonder why you do not take your armed struggle to Kano. You want to bring it to Lagos. Try it and see. You never test the quiet ones, because what they understand, you can't comprehend.

We are not asking for war, and surely will not attack Yorubas unless to defend ourselves. We just want to leave Nigeria with those affiliated with us , through peaceful means. But we will not shirk from war, if brought to us. If there is going to be war, just be sure there will be no distinction between the enemy, those who harbour them, and those who give them free pass through their land to attack us. It's that simple. We defend ourselves, and attack the aggressors! If it's to the last man standing so be it, but then be sure that even you will not survive it. While I'm ready to lay down my life for Biafra, I hope you are ready to lay down yours for the Zoo, where you serve the hegemonist interest!

Pa Eziachi has struck something in me with this write up. Ever since the issue of Nnamdi Kanu's arrest and the renewed call for Biafra and the rise in Biafra agitations, a lot of folks have found it very convenient to badmouth not only Nnamdi who is only a vehicle for the Biafran ideology but lampoon the ideology itself... suddenly even children born in the nineties without any sense of history are now experts on Biafra, Igbo and Igboid groups issues.

We know ourselves , we the true Biafrans in Nigeria are proud of our identity and need no coercion or manipulation in identifying and fighting for the ideology. A thousand of Tonyebarcanistas and Truckpushers(this guys i respect though) cannot erase or downplay this stand. Millions of dissenting voices from other regions will also fail..

Nigerians are quick to lambast the call for Biafra self determination but no one is ready to address the issues that fuel this agitations. No one is asking the critical questions as to why Igbos want out of this unholy matrimony orchestrated by Lugard and co. All we see even till now is the daily ridicule and marginalization of the Igbo nation. Nigerians have placed Biafrans as second place citizens since 1970 with no remorse, no fear , no consideration to our numbers and contributions. The generations of Igbos Post 1970 are still being made to suffer for events which they do not know about, and our neighbors never fail to remind their children of the zeal and passion to continually subjugate the citizens of Biafra even if revisionism is employed while telling this tales..

Nnamdi Kanu maybe arrested but the ideology cannot be suffocated, a thousand Nnamdis shall arise and even though it may take years to actualize this ideology, Biafra will one day Shine forth.....

On Biafra we stand...

Eziachi this cannot be better said. I wonder who gave these minorities the guts to be talking thrash as if they are now on the same level with igbos. As for this dumbo I quoted, isn't it better you go and ask your leaders to quickly send emissary to Fulani's in the north before they totally conquer the endangered yoruba tribe instead if crying about biafra?

cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

It will be more beneficial for you to send your emissaries to Port Harcourt to beg the minorities to allow you to rename it back to Iguocha or is it Igweocha.

Ok, we are cowards. But your land purchase is still a lease which can be revoked at anytime. Even a small incident like regionalism can cause the review of this lease created by a Nigeria. Continue spending your money on useless and fruitless venture. The Igbo in Lagos will die before they are forced back to the east to be counted under Biafra.
