King Jaja of Opobo Kingdom–Settling the Opobo-Igbo Heritage once and for all

Please read the great testimony from none other than this illustrious daughter an Igbo daughter from Opobo kingdom Dr. Tina Edmunds-OGBUOKIRI (Nee EZIE) who came forward to tell those who have often told us that Igboland is landlocked, when our brethren sisters and brothers from Opobo are quietly clinging tight to their Igbo heritage. Read the testimony below in Tina’s own words

My dear Brethren and Compatriots,

It is a great blessing to be IGBO!
I can tell you a million and one reasons why I relish being IGBO!
In my next twenty lifetimes, I would love to still remain IGBO!
We are like the Jews. Anytime a group is persecuted, guess what?, they become stronger in virtually all aspects of life.

My story will be short because I have clients (HIV-infected professionals and non-HIV clients) waiting for me.

I remember going to Opobo in the company of my late father, Chief Sir Edmund Obizukowa EZIE, the late town clerk of Portharcourt Municipality from 1960 to about (not exactly sure now) 1964. We visited the compound of the historical and beloved KING JAJA of Opobo. My dad told us that the late king hailed from AMAIGBO in Orlu and was the father/founder of Opobo.

Opobo, Ahoada and many of these areas are IGBO.
Please do not disgrace God by renouncing your IGBO HERITAGE!!
Instead, please remain proud of it.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tina Edmunds-OGBUOKIRI (Nee EZIE)

Does she speak for all the people of Opobo or from her room in the left side of Yaba where she resides?

See the level of madness the crave for crude oil in the Niger delta has driven you Nigerians who come from areas of Nigeria not producing crude oil, or some south south people conditioned by lies to remain foolish.

What is there for you to insult some one who claimed his/her heritage?

in life its wise to stand up for what you can fight and have. till this live end igbos can NEVER EVER have opobo. not in this lifetime. thats why they resort to crying fowl online seeking sympathy.
what you can eat, you dont brag you just go get it. but when you cannot, you cry for attension. what the igbos are doing

Opobo town is strategically located!... I do know the fuse about the ownership!. In every civilised locality, the land owners are usually the custodians of the place & Opobo cannot be deferent!. Some people because they have not travelled or out of ignorance, did not bother to even what to know how Opobo started or their language & customs. They are quick to depend on Nigeria's artificial boarders & creations, but in the end once the the country come to an end, the truth will surely prevail!.

The Ijaws lay claim to Opobo. The Igbos lay claim to Opobo. The Ikot Abasi people lay claim to Opobo. So who are the Opobo people then? We Igbos might have a stronger claim to that place since the Opobo people speak Igbo and the ruling house of Jaja are all Igbos.
