The US did same. It resulted in school shootings and the uprising of the gays!
Hmmm all these cult men. God save your people. The Christians is cross river should reject this!

It seems the governor want to mock God. Let's wait and see his end, it' s a matter of time. On the issue of teachers must wear suite during official hours. I think the man is a clown. I don't think there is a single public school in the state where there are fans talkless of air conditioner

Separation of state and church.

Nigeria always forget that not everyone is.Christian/Muslim and forcing people to pray alongside other faiths is a violation of their rights and also a form of intolerance
And when you choose a mission school you don't know it is a mission school too before you made your choice. Why should the directive apply to private schools? Nonsense directive from a nonsensic atheist governor. So atheism is right to be imposed on everyone? The atheist should know too that everyone is not atheist. Where is freedom of assembly? Useless people.

not being able to pray alongside people of other faiths is the form of intolerance
it was in school i learnt the most about islam and traditional religions,on the assembly ground..i can recite fatia n some other islamic stuffs but i'm a christian..it makes us see one another as brothers
but the governer wouldn't know this because he was either alwayss a late comer/truant who was only caught because of you can't easily sneak into class during assembly time.
i will only support ths if it will stop the religious brain washing my generation is suffering

Same mistake America made some years ago and they are paying dearly for it now; remove God from your affairs and see how things will crumble fast. God bless Nigeria and save our future!
In what way is America crumbling? They are still the biggest economy in the world and Nigeria with all it's religion bullshit still one of the poorest.

Does the church have right to flout urban zoning lawshuh Even after alot of land and districts have been allocated for religious and commercial developmenthuh

Were the educational facilitates designated as mixed use (multi purpose)huh

What happened to all the acres upon acres of churches and Prayer campshuh
Is not enoughhuh

What is CANhuh To stop the government from doing such. Something that they themselves know that it is right.

ISRAEL IS VERY RELIGIOUS AND STATE RELIGION IS JUDAISM AND IS AMONG THE RICHEST AND MOST POWERFUL NATIONS ON EARTH TODAY.
SAUDI ARABIA IS VERY RELIGIOUS AND IS A WEALTHY NATION.
IRAN IS VERY RELIGIOUS AND VERY WEALTHY.
Israel is also the only country in the world where a majority of citizens are Jewish

The Governor put a halt to praying in schools and some hypocrites are here shouting satanic influence. When will Africans especially my dear country Nigerian, be free from mental slavery?
Re: Ayade Orders Suspension Of Prayers In Schools by stolenstone: 7:47am On Oct 30, 2015
this is how it started in America! And today guns have infiltrated the school system over there! Jesus Christ is the prince of peace, if you shut him out you are technically welcoming crisis and chaos! Father help Gov Ayade, bless him with some sense in Jesus name!

Not everyone is a Christian remember so the Governor is trying to include the right of all in his administration.

To me its not a welcome development if this is true. Prayer instills moral and change wrong to right. Why ban the needful?

SUPER bushdoc, here to save the world again from all sorts of diseases, fight the evil, etc, etc, etc...

Right.....the news report from the reputable Daily Trust says....

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has given a directive that henceforth no public or private primary and secondary school in the state should hold morning or afternoon prayers.

Cue horror and shock.....wow...how can he do that.....hasn't he forgotten Nigeria is a Christian country...oops smiley

But if you go down the article.....

The directive which was sent to all zonal heads in the state said, “the ministry hereby directs all public and private primary and secondary schools across the state to suspend all assemblies (morning and afternoon) till further notice.

Er....it says nothing about prayer, or prayers. It says assemblies.

ASSEMBLIES.

If anyone of you went to primary or secondary school in Nigeria (unlike some here who schooled in France).....assemblies in the Nigerian schooling context means.....

a gathering of pupils , where announcements, directives etc are given out to the pupils. Usually held in the morning and afternoon of every school day, and may involve all or part of the school. A prayer may be said at the begining or end of the assembly, but it is a non-religious activity.

Get it, sports fans.

So,once again, the Nigerian Newspaper is caught encouraging clickbait...(Not again!...anyways the bills have to be paid, and all that.).

FOR THE BENEFIT OF DOUBTERS.....YOU CAN STILL PRAY IN CROSS RIVER STATE SCHOOLS....to Jesus, Allah, the Gods, the Flying sphagetti monster, the great Pumpkin, the great Spider, Atlantis, Justin Bieber, Cossy, D'banj, the great Poundo, etc etc......(Or you can still say religion is bunk, to quote the great Ford.....).

Assemblies....have been suspended (Looks like many principals would have to invest in a good notice board for announcements and things like that).

So can we all relax, relax relax....nothing to see here.....move along.
Daily trust is a pro north and muslim paper.they craftily twisted the directive to make it appear as if the man was against prayers only.they later wrote the exact directive after intentionally misleading people with their intro.you can imagine the impression it will leave on people who only read headlines or intros.

Rubbish move. Is Ben Ayade an occultist? What has prayers offered by pulpils and students in schools got to do with effective administration of the state?
I share your political ideologies but I am with the Governor on this one.

They can pray when they get home.
I also want them to remove Religious Knowledge from the system.
Let them face Science and administration, that's the only way forward.
Religion does nothing for anybody, except to make them believe that you are better than those who doesn't share your Church or religious views.

Last time a commissioner to be suggested school children drawing criminals instead of geometric figures, today a likely occultic governor is trying to put a hold on prayer in the schools.
Anyway, Both prayer and national anthem should be stopped at school. But introduce a positive mantra or incantations to be chanted by the students every morning
I guess Germany and the rest of Europe who doesn't pray at schools are all occultic.

They produce the phones you use to type this backward rubbish.

The children can pray at home before coming.

This is a very beautiful news.Separation of religion from state business.

Those morning and afternoon assembly are traumatic enough.I support this move a hundred percent.Let the kids learn to pray and sing in their houses by their parents. The one that needs to take CRS as a subject can do so during the classes.

The education commissioner in Anambra state that removed crucifix in all the public schools during the military regime lost his family in a plane crash and many other perils he underwent. Do not touch the tail of a lion whether it is alive or death! The people involved in this unruly act should take note. God is God!!!

What do you define as Richness or Poorness? Amount of U.S. Dollars in the bank?

There is a total of 5 Billion dollars cash in our banks, has it made us rich?

Arabia is a boiling kettle, ask the citizens.

If Iran is wealthy, why are refugees from Syria not going to Iran and Saudi Arabia? Why do they prefer to go to non-theocratic states?

Who has been subsidising The State of Israel?

Africans do not need to be corrupted by Abrahamic mental enslavement to seek our progress. When there was no Synagogue, Church or Mosque, where we poor? Was there suicide bombing? Was there anything like EFCC?
