i used my mtn modem this afternoon but i had to shut down cos i had to go somewhere. When i came back i plugged it in but my computer is not recognising it. I've tried several times but it's still not recognising it. the removable disk icon is showing on the task bar but not on my computer and the mtn fast link programme is not coming up automatically. when i launched fast link there was no network signal. Pls i'm confused i don't know what else to do. What should i do?

Just uninstall the MTN F@stlink software from your system (while you have not connected the modem to your computer), restart your computer and connect the f@stlink modem to your computer (after you might have restarted your computer) to install the modem driver afresh.

I believe doing this should solve your problem.

I did that but it's still not working. it's working on other peoples laptops except mine

May I ask you this? Did you connect the modem directly to the system or you connected the modem to USB extension cable and then to your computer?

are u using windows 7? is ur fast link zte mf626 or (7)
Let me know asap and we can move on from there with soln

I'm not using windows7. My modem is mf627. What do you think i should do?

dude it also happened to me,i just gav up ni joor.i ad to buy a new 1.mine was even etisalat but d same specs

Hope you have not tampered the firmware of the modem when formatting your system?if yes then check the firmware of your modem from the manufacturer and update. You can as well uninstall the setup from the control panel, also remove it from your C:/...best of luck. Don't forget to re install
