Border patrol plane used for leisure rides

You can say that again. This is Africa where the senses fail once you enter the gravitational pull of political office. You just stand on the highway and observe how many 'government' vehicles are going/coming from the village loaded with plantain, yams and smoked rats while their failed/failing parastatals complain about poor resources. I am just so sorry for us.

Border patrol? Who are they fooling?
How many aircraft do you need to patrol Nigeria's borders? How much fuel? How many pilots and other personnel? If you know the length of border, how many hours each aircraft can cover, how often they need to cover you will be able to answer those questions. Those answers will not lead anyone to buy this Cessna jet. This was for private use.

Helicopters are used for patrols while military jets are used for surveillance. This is a passenger aircraft. Someone bought a private jet for his crisscrossing and one dumb is here telling us that it is for border patrol. Nigerians can't cease to amaze me.

No he doesn't need a private jet that's why he chose to travel with the NCS jet unlike Dieziani who spent billions on charter flights.

1. It is not a private jet, it belongs to the FG (NCS)
2. It is equipped for surveillance (except if GEJ lied to us)
3. You need an aircraft for border patrol and not helicopter.

If you check, the plane is a third hand machine from the condemed stock of the us fleet which they sold to Russia, then after Russia gets tired of the craft, they reason who they can sell it to.... As usual Nigeria! Where 70-80% of all cars/boats/even planes are second hand... Why not. We quickly rush it.. And we blog about it like ' Nigeria just acquired air to land, brain scanning aircraft ' and we all feel wowed.... I taya....for Nigerian tori
bro this jet was bought 2012 under the supervision of Ngozi okojo iweala brand new, special order from CESSNA Air Company, I m a customs officer look @ my posts they are all about customs, and again in nigeria its only commercial air companies that use 2nd hand planes and its even less than 30% of the planes in Nigeria, all the presidential airplanes were bough brand new, all these business moguls do buy their jets brand new, its also impotant for u to know that the year an aircraft was produced doesn't really matter on its perfomance, what matters in a jets perfomance is purely maintainance...

Hmmm...a very significant 'change'. Perhaps by the next administration the Comptro will be seen riding on horseback.

How do you expect him to tour the custom formations across the country? By road or should he charter a flight when there's one already available?

I am not criticizing his use of a jet. I am criticizing his use of a 'patrol jet'. For while he is on tour the purpose for the bird is defeated and it annoying. As vexing as seeing patrol vans after the crooks are long gone. We are simply not a brilliant people and its not about this Comptro, the NCS or this government. It is a Nigerian malaise. If Obama was a Nigerian he would be flying the space shuttle round the world afterall he's the boss of bosses. Abeg leave us. We are like that. People are often bigger than the institutions they claim to serve.
