ADVICE FOR THE SOUTH-SOUTH PEOPLE

Except anyone want to be economical with the truth, oil is the only lubricants to our unity in this country and the moment it dries off, the greatest beneficiary zone will say goodbye.

It is on this premise we are saying that the current political pandemonium is more of ethnicity than partisan. This is not to fan ember of ethnic war but to educate Nigerians. What many Nigerians failed to discern about last general election was that it was more of north/south dichotomy than political war between PDP and APC.

Here is the gospel truth, if PDP has fielded a Northerner as Presidential candidate, all fulcrums that migrated to APC would not have been possible. Likewise the corruption brouhaha would not have been headlines. This was what they sold to us as change and Buhari only came to fulfil this purported dichotomy not change.
So why should a region that ruled for 40 out of 55 years claim marginalisation.

Now to our people in the South-South, why was it only their sons and daughter our big brother, UK has effrontery to prosecute and jail since 1999 that we have resumed to school of democracy. Does it means politicians from the North and South West are sanctimonious?. Beside this, we should ask our big brother why they have failed to shed light on those behind oil proceeds during Gulf war and other endless evils.

Here is the second question, since 1999, we have not had outright cancellation of guber polls irrespective of irregularities, so why Rivers broke this record?. If Nigerians can quickly delete from history Yobe REC N15m bribe and burnt of Kano REC with his family when he wanted to expose electoral fraud. If our foreign observers could be totally blind to underage voting in the North but used microscope to demonise Rivers. If Tribunal only saw something wrong in 21 of State Constituencies in Rivers then why outright cancellation of Governorship poll that was held same day Or why has rerun not adjudged in Ogun and Oyo State where hundreds of polling units descended from moon on election day?

We are still wondering why some gullible people in this region are still following their misguided political princes. These are princes fighting to become Vice-President to EL-RUFAI in 2019 and later to be President in 2023.

A word is enough for the wise. South-Southerners, it is over to you to decide.
