Patchesagain:they can chose to invest or not to invest. Little would matter the real success here is the fact that Nigeria is no longer a dumping ground for company with poor services. MTN can go no company is indispensable. If they stop operations today in Nigeria another company will stand very willing and ready to take over operation from them. You cannot hold a nation ransom to you impunity. |

Patchesagain:sounds like a kid saying his father can beat another kids father because he is putting on a super man costume. your submarine and frigate will not play the role that other smaller fast moving ships were meant to play. |

FighterPilot:if MTN will pay to stay in the Nigerian market. Why do you think other investors won't invest? |

mzilakazi:I will take it that you are also a South African graduate. Ok look at it from this perspective my brilliant South African graduate. If deactivating sims is the only reason why Nigerian workers in MTN would be described as poorly skilled. They have helped in building One of Africa's biggest telecommunications network but I would only be called poorly trained when the management of MTN refused to deactivate SIM being used by fraudsters, kidnappers and terrorists. |

overhypedsteve:So you literally did not read what the analysts have said? And MTN is providing a SUPERIOR service - hence why it is such a strong player in your markets |

overhypedsteve:wtf are you even talking about? |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 8:21am On Nov 01, 2015 |
overhypedsteve:Because they dont want to get trapped in a country where the government randomly decides to shake them down for cash when times are tough? |

Patchesagain:Just mention another company facing the same problem. I wonder why Germany is not complaining about Volkswagen the same way SA is complaining about MTN |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by iblawi(m): 8:45am On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:All 4 GSM telecommunication companies are providing superior services and NCC regulate their operations. If you want to talk about service i would say GLO and etisalat provide better service than MTN. MTN just benefits from the fact that they started early and customers are not willing to change their phone numbers cos of old friends. |

Patchesagain:dude you don't know what is going on in the present Nigeria. Do you know how important MTN is to Nigeria? If MTN was operating in conformity with the law of the land why will she be sanctioned? Or you think we are so ready to get our kids back on the street in search of jobs because of how much? Dude the present Nigeria operates with the rule of law if MTN is too big to fit in then good for her. Nigeria will be blocking about 26million bank accounts of her citizens due to their not complying with the BVN registration directive that's about half the number of people in South Africa and you think the Nigeria. Government is victimizing MTN? Well the management of MTN are about the dumbest people in the world for not preparing for possible antagonistic policies from their host government they just about played around like they owned the country. Well they don't. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by overhypedsteve(m): 10:49am On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:I am saying your government cannot buy two ships and three submarine and call it a navy. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by overhypedsteve(m): 10:57am On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:who are you to say that? Your opinion and definition of what could be described as "superior service" cannot or would not pass the test of MTN's millions of Nigerian subscribers that are daily dumping their MTN sims. Check Twitter and Facebook and see if the people that they are giving this superior services are not praying for their exit from Nigeria. They have lost the support they use to enjoy from the Nigerian people and it would seem that it's curtains for MTN. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 11:44am On Nov 01, 2015 |
overhypedsteve:So then if we dont have a navy.... what do you have? We have 4 Frigates and 3 subs... you only have one frigate that hasnt put to sea in about a decade |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by iblawi(m): 12:39pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:We have hundreds of vessels and we are still building more. NNS thunder, NNS Aradu, NNS okpabama, are all frigates size in any navy. Within several other OPV size vessels, we also have lots of MPVs and IPV's. We also have several fast attack boats, landing craft and several other equipments. That's what i call a navy. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by iblawi(m): 12:45pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:Your three subs worth less than $800 million. Your incomplete Frigate worth $300 million each = $1.2 billion $0.8 billion + $ 1.2 billion = $2 billion. Your navy is worth less than half the money we would collect from MTN. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 12:48pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
iblawi:No, that is a collection of obsolete vessels... none of which are capable of waging war... no operational warships! And you dont have "hundreds of vessles", dont be a clown. It is an indesputable fact that we have an actual navy While all you have is a coast guard |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 12:50pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
iblawi:Pity you wont use that money to buy any ACTUAL WARSHIPS And our frigates are "incomplete"? how? Dude, you quite clearly have no idea what you are talking about |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 2:03pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
mzilakazi:You typically represent the millions of black south Africans: s.tupid, timid, emotionally deluded and inexperience in all spheres of human efforts. First off south Africa has done its SIM registration which is marked by low level organisation and basic paper stuffs. No biometrics or advanced technology. Nigeria has over 140 million gsm subscribers with mtn having 62 million, that's more than the entire population of your country. Coupled with biometrics, data capture, the process should take time. Mtn has been fined 200,000 naira for this same offense last year as well as other gsm companies in Nigeria. While others quickly put their business in order, mtn was busy making profit. The sheer amount of unregistered mtn subscribers that had access to the NIGERIAN network is a matter of national security, thus the huge fine. If you accuse the NIGERIAN government of looking for easy money due to fallen oil price, may I call you an enfeebled, imbecilic , drooling ,tree-hopping Zulu. While Nigeria economy still happens to grow 2.3 percent as at 3 quarter 2015, south Africa's economy is not stagnant : it is shrinking. Perhaps, your government is the one looking for easy money through its multinational. Zulu _baboon. |

Patchesagain:You lost ! Nigeria is getting back the $9m. Nigeria does not need South African arms, what do you have to sell that we cannot buy from Russia or China? We bought more Chinese MRAP than South African, you don't sell tanks, you don't sell LAVs, we bypassed your grenade launchers to buy Chinese. The Bell helicopters are American product wanted to lease from south Africa, but you foolishly sat on the money and Nigeria has bought Gazelles and Eurocopters from France.....you lost business, you are born losers. When you mess with Nigeria you always end up as losers......go ask MTN.... Meanwhile, we sucking Mama Soweto's milk loaded brëästs in Abuja till our stomach is full of free South African protein and glucose ![]() ![]() . |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:22pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:What demands? Nigeria did not comply with any South African demand, we are actually the ones making demand.....return our $9 m.....Pretoria obeyed Abuja's demand. You fear us, your government fears our giant status in Africa, we own you. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:25pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
agaugust:1. We dont need South African Arms - pic related, jackass 2. Hurr durr Bell helicopters derp derp - we dont sell Bell or Gazelles or any other light helicopters, jackass 3. Born losers - RSA is top 20 arms exporter and Denel is top 100 Arms manufacturer in the world... where is Proforce? FYI, we do sell tanks and LAV's, and you bought Chinese because you cant afford what we sell If you want to say we did it out of fear - provide citations, no one gives a sh1t about your opinion

| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:29pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
agaugust:Read the citation, you complied with our demands - all Nigerian arms purchases in South Africa must pass through Armscor and get Armscor approval Stop wasting my time, if you wish to make a claim - provide a citation. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:29pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
agaugust:And our Navy is worth more than you navy... both in capability and in ability to wage war bwahahahahaha |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:33pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:Coast guards do not own Otomat and Aspide missiles plus torpedoes. NNS Aradu is confirmed for refit and reactivation next year, posted that info here from NN HQ. You too refit your ships don't you? Aradu is far superior in firepower to all your four frigates and has ASW capability, Aradu is coming back to operation 2016 confirmed. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:36pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:....and we refused to deak with ARMSCOR, we cancelled the deal and demanded our money back, you obeyed our demand and you are refunding the money....we rejected your ARMSCOR demand. We own you, go ask MTN . |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by Patchesagain: 2:37pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
agaugust:Aradu is not operational - so you dont have Otomat or Aspide missiles. When she enters service... them come talk, until then - silence please and accept Coast Guard status. And no, Aradu does not have more firepower, dont be a fool.

agaugust:Yeah, thats not what happened. Read the citation. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:42pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:What tanks and LAV does South Africa sell ? Name them. REVA MRAP was a deal done before the $9m saga, 48 units only....we bought 120 units of Chinese MRAPS. We can't afford what you sell? The Chinese MRAP we bought is more expensive than your REVA MRAP, and we bought almost 3 times more quantity of the more expensive Chinese MRAP. Their are South African companies leasing Bell helicopters and Gazelles that's why the $9 m deal included Bell helicopters . |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:46pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
Patchesagain:Every missile on your Frigate is neutralized by our stealth OPV anti-missile defenses, and your sunmarines cannot survive in Nigerian waters.....never mind our new navy FALCON EYE which you don't have an answer to . |
