but on a second thought, cant i just get (or buy in stores ) a disc tht contains wundows 8 drivers and then install the WLAN/Bluetooth drivers or what do u think bro? ( coz d wireless wont turn ON so goin online s kind of difficult for me )

ok...u can use a driver cd but it can be confusing atimes if u dont av proper knowledge of how drivers work..in some cases,u'd see updates found for existing drivers and when u click on install....ur sytem may fail to boot and have a bluescreen...
in ur case,i suggest u un-install the existing drivers first then use the driver cd and desist from installing updates from the driver cd(create restore point first) or u can get another working system and download the drivers then transfer to ur system to install it...
i had the same case today..it was a compaq 620...the timing was co-incidental that i initially thot he was "akosxxx"

please help!! my computer is not detecting my modem anymore. i used my mtn modem last night but i had to shut down cos i had to go to bed. waking up this morning start my computer and plugged my modem but my computer is not recognizing it. I've tried several times but it's still not recognizing it. the removable disk icon is showing on the task bar but not on my computer and the etisalat fast link programme is not coming up automatically. when i launched fast link there was no network signal. Pls i'm confused i don't know what else to do. What should i do?

plug the modem, then try uninstalling the driver from device manager>modems>huawei mobile connect...and try installing back by unpluging and pluging back in

i had a customer with this issue last week,it was a shopspeed all-in-1 system...i dint have time to diagnose what the cause was but as i re-formatted the system..everytin was fine again..it may work for u also..
i remember an old case where i inserted a usb stick inside a usb port and there was a warning " Power surge on the USB port" and when u open the message..it warned the port may stop working...im yet to read if this is the cause....
backup ur system and re-format and pls lets know the results while i investigate the cause..

there are different ways to format ur system(atimes,i even make a boot partition from the hard disk if usb,cdrom are not present)..some of them i may not be able to explain...the situation which dictate which method to use..

My PC, Hp Elitebook 6930p has some functionalities i have not been able to utilize since i bought it.

First: Is the WIFI, and the the other is an in-built port for a SIM card.

Please how do i configure the in-built SIM slot for browsing.
Finally, how do i activate and use the Wireless network.

My external hard drive is bringing "you need to format disk" is there a way I can fix this or copy my files before formatting it... I couldn't bare to loose my files

Good evening all, Well my trouble is that i have a toshiba laptop, but i tried installing fresh O.S.... The windows CD Which ah was using was working, not until it got to the part of disk partition where the CD Didn't see the Hard drive of the system, so without the hard drive, i cant install the fresh O.S.. i was told to use external CD Rom, I tried using External Cd Rom, But it still showed the same thing..
