will you shut the fok up?who the hell are you to bring my mother into this discussion? I am proud to tell you that my mother is very very poor, but she will never,I repeat never take what does not belong to her like that criminal you were defending. Her action has nothing to do with poverty
Thank you. We should make a deliberate case to stop joining both issues or we are doomed. Simple as that.

The world's poor is into billions. If we have that many taking what does not belong to them then we are all doomed. We should stop joining poverty issues with crime because poverty is relative and proportional to one's mentality and competence. That is I may not have now but if I believe I can work it out and I am prepared to work it out then I am not poor. If I believe I can only steal to survive then what is the incentive to work. Any Nigerian supporting or encouraging or excusing this at any level should be ashamed. There is just too much work out there for the hardworking and diligent. Nigeria lacks everything. We need a mental renaissance.

This is poverty walking and talking live.

If some Nigerians can risk their lives like this just to scoop fuel i wonder what's stopping them to protest against bad governance from the local government, state and then the federal government.
nice point you made, but what's stopping them is the fact that those that creates their suffering have divided theIrish opinion also based on ethnic and religion... with ethnic and religious divide running deep in the mind of people, no real mass revolution can ever happen....

Are these people well? Do they know how dangerous what they are doing is? This is currently happening at Mowe, Ibafo in Ogun state. A fuel tanker fell early this morning and residents and every opportunity seeker are there scooping fuel, risking their lives. This could explode at any minute...and there's no sight of safety or security officers around. See more photos after the cut...

When the economy improves and the standards of living become better, when our government creates more jobs for young Nigerians, when it is no longer "PERSONAL GOVERNANMENT OF NIGERIA" but federal, when there is serious improvement in the health sector, when the prayers for good leaders get answered, when we seriously fight crime and corruption..... Etc

This never happened at ibafo. The accident occured at Olowotedo axis of the express and it was a tanker of groundnut/vegetAble oil and not PMS.
I witnessed it on my way to church, saw human traffic scooping the contaminated vegetable/groundnut oil in kegs of 25litres.

It would be nice if bloggers or news bearers can give the exact news as it is. And At the time we drove past, FRSC van and officials where on site at few minS past 7am.

Very very correct. When I was driving past on my way to church I saw them and asked, they said it was Ororo (groundnut oil). And on my way back from church the smell around the area was actually that of groundnut oil and not diesel or petrol. Besides it's almost unrealistic to see a loaded tanker on the lane inwards lagos, they usually are on the lane outwards lagos.
