Why is it that the Tower of Babel idea was thwarted by God in the bible when today we have extremely tall structures (Eiffel Tower, Burj Khalifa, etc), aircrafts, and even rockets? Why are all these things suddenly ok?

Ifeness, assume that I don't know anything about your bible or any Holy Book. Do you believe the bible enough to tell me that God is worried because you read it from there?? If you are an atheist, I assume you don't believe in what is written in any religious book. Hence, I don't expect you to say/know anything about God from any of them. Why are you now referring to these books to tell me about the Almighty?

The original story of the tower of babel wasn't seen as the word of god. And even the bible(which isn't the original) stated that the gods(those who imposed themselves as gods on humans) were scared of ancient humans. I think they knew that humans had great imaginative potentials, and that , just like children, we would grow to question, challenge and outshine the gods, who had evolved beyond empathy.

I also think that humans had other species of extraterrestrials trying to help us in our social and scientific evolution.

The book of Enoch, which strangely didn't make to the bible, states that the fallen angels were the ones who tutored humankind in agriculture, irrigation, metallurgy , medicine and social harmony.

I have no doubts that they or another sympathetic species, were instrumental in the design and construction of the Shem, the Highward Firestone.

The tower of Babel is not an expression of man's creativity, but wicked imaginations and inventions.
God interest ain't in the decrease of man's knowledge and creative power but rather an establishing concept to live eternal.

Where are the last century athiests, inventors and scientists? They are all dead.

Since he specially created you in his real image and not in his shadow, you are entitled to possess his creative impulse and potentials.
To prove his interest, he oblidged man to replenish the earth. All man's invention and creativity are embedded inside that very phrase 'Replenish.'

But his ultimate concerned for man his for them to forever live.

The truth of the matter is that everything good in life has a principle and a concept. And a claim that their is no eternal life is ridiculous. What actually create eternity in the heart of a christian is FAITH. And remember that faith works with two things which i will not disclosed here.
Faith is capable of creating anything since it is associated with other intangible elements.
An average man like you ultimately live with his mind without puting his heart into effective use. And that is how it was claimed that thinking is achieve with the use of the mind, while the bible oppose that theorem.

The truth is that you can never know more about this God until you are ready to do one thing.

This is because even if you later accept this God, you will only be meditating on his deeds that seems evil in your sight, rather than rejoicing on his goodness.

You must be ready to accept this God once a concrete truth has been established in your heart.

If you are ready to do that, then open another thread with that title and we christian will write our best.

Sometimes, we are only playing with your souls but praying that Jesus should never do the same.

Anybody can study bible but not anyone that can study holy bible. You can have bible with you over there, but not with holy bible.
