It's only natural for those people to be sacked. The lame dock period of Nigeria should be reviewed in any constitutional review or national conference that comes up. Last minute appointments like Jonathan made were the reason the lame dock period in the US was reduced. During this period, appointments are hardly made.

Sentiments aside, I can't see any of them as a performer, for the life of me.

The most visible among the lot for example, IGP Solomom Arase, has a confusing personality, without liver - so he is non-effective; he still lies like hell in his accounts of happenings in the line of duty, just like a typical Nigerian policeman/woman that most of us know. What he's more famous for, is just a wide, sheepish smile at the President for the camera. Time to go, abegi!

True to fact I have not appraised the performance of the due-to-be affected appointees. There may be a dozen of them not known to me.

My advocacy is for objectivity over partisanship when the decision to relieve them is reached.

I trust there will be few diligent ones...

IG seems to have relax too much he need to have reposition Nigeria police but I think he can't do more than what he had done so we need someone to reposition Nigeria police and make it look more professional, if sacking and retirement would bring sanity into Nigeria police force it is a welcome idea.
