IT'S TOO LATE FOR NIGERIA Wednesday, 4 November 2015 IT'S TOO LATE FOR NIGERIA By Ifeanyi Chijioke (For Family Writers) When Biafra restoration was initiated over 15YRS ago and Massob led by Chief Ralph Uwazurike came into the frame, joy with unimaginable happiness flooded our hearts, the joy was not essentially because we all need Biafra but because hope has been rekindled, hope for a future Nigeria couldn't give, hope for nationhood that cannot be achieved, hope for life that northern and western people sniffed out of us when they feel jealous of our hard work which often set Biafrans higher than all. The future was so calm like a night defined by silvery moon or a dove in a classic dawn, so colorful like the painting of an awarded Egyptian painter, so beautiful like the picture of a thousand sunsets and we were ready to sacrifice everything for such picture that can't be dreamt of in Nigeria. We gallantly stood and walked with every boldness to the land of milk and honey, Uwazurike was more than our leader, had we the character of idol worshipping, we would have made sculptures of him and born incense and candles, praise and pray for him to survive. Nnamdi Kanu was our spider man, we never knew him but he financially and actively participated as he passionately aided Uwazurike. Then the trying period came for Uwazurike, first of all we must admit that his massob lacked order because there was no means of communications, massob later went into kidnapping and molestation of Biafrans and after the detention of Uwazurike, the beat changed from our soft cherished R'n'B to Nigerian irresponsible hip-hop of kolomental and terry G. Unknown the agreement upon which Uwazurike was released, Biafra started losing her indigenous support and like a pack of card, all fell to the floor and Hausa/Fulani and yorubas celebrated a dream well crashed. Like a phoenix Biafra was unpopularly rising, Chukwuokikeabiama terminated Uwazurike because he would fall by the way side, just same method he used for Israelites into the promise land, he never changes. Nnamdi Kanu firstly left home and went back to those that financed Biafra, he knew those Biafrans outside are the ones much more eager for Biafra because they really want to go home and build a country that can be like where they are. They knew Nigeria is not indigenous country and hence they stood in battle against Nigeria, no stake or anything is left for them in Nigeria. Nnamdi Kanu, Uche mefor and another sacrificially stood IPOB with everything they had and funded Radio Biafra and when the eagle was set to fly, he brought to our notice Radio Biafra and gradually we became addicted, the brave and fearless voice, the immeasurable truth and unimaginable lectures that can't be offered anywhere and he impacted the zeal and passion. Biafra became a religion to some hardcore’s and on May 30TH the number that came to heroe's day in Aba proved acceptance and assimilation of his gospel. At first Biafrans were observant as their watchful eyes and listening ears sufficiently did their jobs, they galloped after him waiting to see Nnamdi Kanu lie or hold him to account for his promises or words, after a long galloping they were satisfied as truth was a guarantee. Like a tossing hurricane, Radio Biafra professionally stole the hearts of Biafrans and like a wild fire in a desert, radio Biafra spread everywhere and truth was inevitable as Biafrans fell in love, really "Eziokwu bu ndu" truth is indeed life. Nigerian government was at first coy until they noticed the championing radio station, we first thought Nigeria was unaware of the influence of radio Biafra until 19 million US dollars was spent and NBC announced the neutralization of radio Biafra but with 24th radio Biafra went viral on air. The technological gurus of Biafra had just defeated Nigeria. The defeat gave Nigeria a damning blow as Radio Biafra gained headlines and popularity took prominence that if you type letter "R" radio Biafra is completed via word or sentence completion enabled version. Biafra like lantern oil on silk linen soaked into Biafrans, the abandoned journey into the promise land was reignited this time by Joshua. The picture of Biafra became a motion picture that gradually turned into an achievable dream. Nnamdi Kanu seemed to be the only one capable of making a difference, he did not only picked Biafra from the bin Uwazurike threw it into, he brought Biafrans together and nurtured them morally and lawfully, disclosed histories and teachings professors are not capable of, just before the dawn horizon was set for the hit, southsouth and southeast realized why there is northern Nigerians, western Nigerians and no eastern Nigerians instead we are southsouth and southeast, their divide and rule system was let bare and there we saw their cards. We will win because we have seen their cards and know what they will play next. Nnamdi kanu set IPOB family meetings all around the world and Radio Biafra was the one voice and central command. IPOB cannot be infiltrated neither can the enemies come in; he set up every standard needed for the restoration of Biafra. He toured the world and addressed leaders and negotiations were made, he came back and toured the world on a second time but to address Biafrans. Before the, international media houses started bearing Biafra as headlines and everything was working according to his script. Biafra gained awareness and in the international convention of world indigenous people in Los Angeles, he was certified as the leader of indigenous people of Biafra and by this move, all is put in place for Biafra. Now real freedom fighting is next before the declaration of Biafra and that is price for freedom he must pay. He smartly came in and lured Nigeria government to himself as they stupidly arrested him on no criminal charges, then world leaders, local and international media houses got hit, protest all around the world kicked and Biafra was internationalized, huge step to the restoration of Biafra. Now Nnamdi Kanu had internationalized Biafra and being locked up extra-judicially is a defining point for Biafra. The sudden comments by Gowon, OBJ, commentators, politicians, the move by Nigeria government to lobby few aged Biafrans to give anti-people statements, the comments by Britain, the media push, the new phase financial push to terminate radio Biafra and the tension all over the world which had forced many notable men into calling for a referendum and finally the call by Yorubas for freedom. These and many more show that Biafra is in a critical period, threats will come, fear will be instilled and vows to bring death on Biafrans but we are not deterred because everybody knows Biafra is in a critical time. They know what is left is to see who Biafrans are and Biafra will be given to them and so this critical period is the last fight. Nigeria is being monitored and followed by human right organizations and international communities and now words to instill fear is the key to keep us at bay. The last opportunity to show the world ourselves and take home our freedom is the mega protest coming up, all Biafrans should brace up for it as it would be our turning point. Biafra is in a critical time and this is what we need to know, our minds are already made, take it or leave it we are hitting the street. |
