Otherwise, how else do you explain worshipping a god who doesn't look like you, adopting the history of people who , apart from not looking like you, despise people like you?

How do you explain skin bleaching, looting your community or nation go stash in another nation?

How do you explain that despite more than 100yrs of western education, despite almost 60yrs of running our own economy, far majority of Nigerians still think that Jesus bestows economic wellbeing and worldly riches ?

I could write an entire book on how badly damaged the Black man's psyche is.

Since the slave-master is an enemy of the slave, if the slave prays to the same God as the master, he is praying to the God that enabled the slavemaster to enslave him. Therefore, that God is the enemy of the slave or captive just as the slave-master is.

Blackrace is not the only race to possess such or exhibit the characteristics of assimilating some other people's religions and cultures into their society.

Africa was hoodwinked with a form of knowledge superior to what we have, when the foreign missionaries arrived Africa they achieved feats we could not fathom then man tend to fear and revere that he do not know or understand.

As a people we are still far behind and stuck in our old cultures and traditions. The average African doesn't want to change.

Unless the outstanding Africans represent at least 50% of the black race and accomplish these feats on our own soil i.e by attending our own schools and travelling with our own passports they will only be classified as exceptions.

The use of the word "damaged" by plaetton might seem extreme but it's the plain truth.

It is quite a dilemma but to be fair Africans are not the only ones guilty of this. . . Latinos, Asiatics and many other diverse races in this planet all share similar belief in Gods alien to their own culture.

It is an economic disaster and a catastrophic and destroying mindset to possess where children are encouraged that prayers and fasting can solve their financial and economic problems.

But this cannot only be tagged an exclusive quality of the African mind, many others still toll this type of mindset even in the western world.

Little wonder the Con man Benny Hinn is making millions of dollars in the enterprise. . . Such gullibility and simpleton-like sheepishness is not a trade-mark of blacks or africans only.

It walks hand in hand with religious beliefs of which most of the people involved share..


I could write an entire book on how badly damaged the Black man's psyche is.


It is a pity and a sad thing to behold but what can we do, you and i cannot change all of a sudden the way our society work but we can do our little bid by introducing our coming youths to rational and independent thinking because this trend will continue if our youths continue with it.

All in all i wouldn't for once call the black race damaged or inferior, i would be tolling a victims road that can only diminish by perceived potentials of the blackrace.

I would say we are only a people lost in the vacuum of other people's culture and belief and leaving who we are behind.

That to me is a worst form of being lost ....

I believe plaetton shares my sentiment that Africans need to face the harsh fact of our situation in order to be able to solve it. By creating psychological cushions for our problems we only give them room to grow

A non productive race is damaged. Some Black people are good but majority is damaged. Look at Nigerians outside the country and in the country. Most of them are really really a disgrace.

I am not saying blacks are inferior,but they have been damaged.

Can anyone mention anything good blacks have done to the planet so far apart from sport?

90% of Nigerians I have met in France,Spain,UK,U.S are into credit card fraud,drugs and all sorts of shady deals

You need go out there and see for yourself. The benefit system in England is overloaded with Blacks taking benefits with different i.d Sometimes being black won't give you much opportunities

You try for this your comment. I totally agree with you. Infact, I will say 99.9% of blacks here in the WEST are shameless people. Many have thier working permit but will prefare to steal either in shops or internet or even stand in front of shopping center begging money. Some of these white they beg from are not even well to do financially. But my black brothers no care oo. They will never pay for the public transportation. Train or bus. And they go about jumping the train because they don't care. I met one Nigeria buy one day in a train. He aproached because I was talking in pidgin with a friend. Unfortunately for him, the train ticket controllers came in and billed him. He said I don't have money am not workin. I was angry with him. Then why taking the train I asked? He said. Tomorrow I am going to Paris and I won't pay. If they hold me and bill me again. No problem My children will pay all my debts...it sounds funny but. There are thousands of them like this. They are living miserable live but will never tell the truth to thier families back home. Tell Me, are the white still enslaving the blacks? No. They made thier language course free but you will never see Nigerian study the language. They will tell you leave that thing Joor. I don't need the language. But they want to have kids here how then can you educate ypur kids? Homework etc? Black people are thier own problem shall.

That it doesn't, is the very sad irony we are faced with.

Anything can used as a tool to accomplish anything - good or bad - so , I don't really get why you dont choose to see Christianity that way . Should we stop using the internet because young boys rape little girls after watching clips from indecency websites ? Or misguided young men defraud people of their hard-earned cash using the internet ? Or that terrorists' orgs indoctrinate young minds against peace and instigate violence using the internet ?

I admit that there are bad eggs that give Christianity a bad name and MAYBE it was used a tool (there is no clear proof though but it is generally believed ) to enslave the blackman but those are the least and inconsiderable reasons why Christianity should annihilated . At least you know what Jesus stood for .

if the first were the most significant, then the enslaved blacks would have been indentured servants, not slaves.

its possible the ship was not originally used as a slave vessel and in any case, it wasnt the only one.

What has the "african shine" given you ? Hate , killing of twins , seeing knowledge as evil , darkness etc . People have proclivities and have to stop when they see it would lead them to destruction . Apply same here as regards to "African Heritage" .

Christianity started in the middle - east before it spread . What were these westerners practicing before they embraced christianity ? Africans used beasts of burden , local agricultural tools , lived in mud houses etc but when a better means of livelihood came we embraced it .

GooseBaba I dont see you living in a mud house or riding your horse to work or wearing animal skin wrapped round your privates in your home or place of work . Dolce and Gabana or Karl Benz must be pleased for they know you are making use of their product undecided

Don't get me wrong , I'm not saying we should discard our rich culture but some practices developed out of ignorance should be left behind
