This protest is merely a political one, perhaps sponsored by the PDP in connivance with the thief, Lucky IGBENEDION. Although, Oshiomhole as human being, has his shortcomings, he remains one of the best governor Edo or Bendel states have ever had. This protest is just PDP's way to kick start their gubernatorial electioneering campaigns for 2016.

He has done well for Edo people, with the drop in oil revenue and the low monthly allocation from Abuja, every wise government need to look elsewhere to generate revenue to run the state. Edo people should wake up and support the government, you don't expect development without contributing your own quotas. How much are they really paying for taxes if may ask? It is time the government adopt an effectives means of taxation and let everybody who earn income pay what is required by law to the government. I see the protesters as mere enemy of progress and this must be the handiwork on PDP but they should know that no matter their antics they will never smell The government sit in the next election.

Paying taxes is not strange. It is the requirement of all citizen to pay their taxes. If you travel abroad you are expected to pay taxes for the good road, education and other business infrastructure that the citizen enjoys.

So there is no need for this unnecessary protest.

My final take: Governor Oshiomole is one of the best governor in Nigeria. His anti-corruption stance stand him out among the 36 governors in Nigeria.

I use this opportunity to plea to the government
of Edo State to return the school fees payable at
Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma to its former
rates,it is no longer news that the citizen of this
country are suffering due to inability of
government to fulfil its campaign promises,it is
very sad at this time for a state owned university
to increase its tution fees.
It will be good to remind the state government
that this is the second time the school fees is
been increased under the same adminstration,the
salary of an average nigerian worker cannot meet
the current realities in the country,if a family has
more than two children to cater for in the school
that implies one has to step down for the other to
complete territary education.
Education should not be a moral burden to the
society,it is one of the primary function of the
government,it is a fundamental human right that
the government has to uphold,the people of Edo
State didnt vote for high rates of school
fees.below is the details of new fees

fees
are as follows:
