hey guys, i wish everyone successful application to study in Germany.it has been long since i came online on this platform because i have been busy with school stuffs. As you all know,Germany has a vibrant economy with good education standard and cost of living here is cheaper than most developed countries. But, It's important to clarify an impression which we always find online about Germany(e.g Germany needs engineers,IT experts, blah blah blah ) all these are not really true, a professor said it to my face. As far as i know, so many African guys i know are still searching for jobs which is quite frustrating for them, even getting an opportunity for internship needs fasting and prayer. pardon me, i have to be frank with you guys about it not because i want to demotivate you but to tell you the truth so that your mind can be prepared for the challenges ahead. The most interesting side is if you're coming to study medicine you have a wide opportunity to get a job after your study cos they are in great need of doctors. the education here is standard there is no doubt about it and free tuition but after your studies the chances of getting a good offer from one of there big firms is really low that is a bitter truth, there are various challenges you must face in the Germany labour force like ( Language: Fluent German which can take you approximately 1 year if you are fast. National Character EU Commision law, you will be consider after Germany Nationals, EU nationals, Eastern European before the African and the rest of other Developing Nations, you can as well relocate to an English speaking countries like Canada, New Zealand, USA or Australia if getting a job is seems difficult. Lastly, i will advice you guys to consider Luebeck (it's a city in state of Schleswig Holstein) your last option for an admission, it is quite difficult to get a student job with no german knowledge. Good luck guys, we shall all get there |

Morning peeps. Anybody know about the Care Concept for health Insurance? My school suggested it and it is way cheaper than AOK Insurance. It’s just 26Euros. You guys can look it up - www.care-concept.de I’ve applied for it and I’ve gotten my Insurance Certificate and other documents already. It is even stated on the Certificate that it can be tendered in embassies and consulates, so i intend using it for visa collection in lieu of IGI or Leadway….. |

Hello team, TRust you are good. I have some concerns which I would love to clarify. I was informed that not all states in Germany extend the initial 3 months Visa to 2 years. I learned that some extend the student visa for just one year. I would like to clarify the requirements for extending for the second year. Is it academic performance alone or with another financial commitment of 8,000 Euros. Pls assist clarify. Many thanks. |

As far as I'm concerned it's not easy anywhere. Things don't always go the same way for everybody nd we all tlk from individual circumstances to judge things most times. I have two friends in germany who always say from their own experience nd years of stay there dt there r many jobs available so far u graduate with good grades and u try to learn the lang to relate well at least, one who even had it in mind to move before refused to relocate to canada due to the offers he got nd he's doing very well now. In my own part, I hv been getting positive remarks from the ppl I know not even only from my friends bh from others also. I just knw the common thing said is learning the language is paramount. Maybe getting jobs might be hard in other parts of germany I don't knw but I dnt think it's a general opinion. We r not all the same, our experiences differs nd no matter how bad it can even be it can't be as bad as the situation in nigeria even in naija ppl still get good jobs. Let's just try to focus on studying hard and graduating well opportunities will definitely abound. As someone said there r other places u can migrate to even if u don't want to stay in Germany at the end of the day. We will all excel |

Guitarlife:Hey dude, if you're a new student in your 1st semester just don't bother yourself abt the extension for now , just concentrate on your studies. This is how you can go about it; you need a job contract of at least 450euro as requirement for second extension. During your second semester or break during which you must have settled down properly , you can start for jobs. Go-to restaurant, approach your professors if there is a student assistant opportunity, zeitarbeit (job agents) |

jaydeemourg1:Nice one bro. You are motivating us not even de motivating and is a BITTER TRUTH. Lemme add to it, we all knw germany labor market is bad but not worst like some developed countries but I believe in one thing, what will be will be, everything is all about luck.. In fact if someone is living in a country with buoyant economy and very low rate of unemployment, bad luck may work against such person from not getting a job, So GOOD LUCK is very important and i believe so much in it and the most importantly factor i learn of getting a job in germany is coming out with GOOD GRADE. Not even with connection that works here in naija. if our country education system is good and standard while the labor market is fine most of us would not be bothering of studying in germany and travel from one place to another, even in naija u may not get job with ur connections without luck. yes that's the scope but u could have emphasize ur point on "goodluck and good grade" |

hello everybody! I was given a rejection letter, but I appealed. The embassy contacted me stating that their decision concerning the visa is final because it seems to them that I'm not going to study but because of my step brother. I intend to apply again next year, is it possible? What are my chances of getting a visa? |
| Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Hampy: 5:48pm On Nov 09, 2015 |
I’m sorry bro. Of course you can apply again next year. There’s no limit to how many times you can apply for admission and/or student visa. Just reassess the situation, buckle up loose ends and apply again. And you’ll be in luck. All the best bro Bolivar: |

Pauluche:Great post... Only one wrong assertion. German Girls are not Nigerian girls, heck they are not even Cameroonian gold diggers nor are they African ladies looking for Pali. If your get an opportunity to get hooked up (as friends oh before una begin read yeye lines inside my post) to one, go for it. It will help you in the long run. Plus if you really care about your grades you wouldn't over do it. You should find a balance. And to add, WHITE IS ATTRACTIVE ![]() |

just to add to the advice folks are giving, from my little experience so far in Germany. Honestly different strokes for different folks. You can club, work and also come out with good grades. If your head no strong for book, my brother just work and pursue germo chic and try get resisdency status fast before your programme ends. as yoruba proverb talk " no be only one road dem dey pass enter mkt" Just have a strategy when you come and stick to what works for you. I've met alot of Nigerians here doing very well, earning more than 2000 euros/month plus the shops they own in the city. They are even married to Nigerians and have kids. So the truth is you can be whatever you want to be in germo. Just have a plan simple. If you are a hustler in lagos and you've been able to survive, then Germany shouldnt be a problem. But this time you just have to be wiser and smarter |

kuthvic:100 Euros on food? Omoh you dey try. The highest I spend on food monthly is 60 Euros. Secondly, there are cheaper houses in Hamburg, less than 300 euros. Cost of a city should not determine where you choose to study, rather course of study, curriculum and ranking of the school should decide. Yeah, nice cooking tip: I cook stew and soup, plenty plenty, just once a month, and stock in the freezer.. Then am covered for the whole month. |
