Why should this be celebrated in Nigeria? What is the stand of British government in Nigeria today? How have they helped The economy? And security wise, what have they offered to strengthen the government against Boko Haram and other menace. Now we are celebrating them in our motherland. We didn't even celebrate the US government that has been by us all these while. This is absolutely rubbish. Our government need to rethink and take its stand on its citizens. |

If you knew them, you would not be mistaking Kumuyi for somebody else. That is one man of God who has distinguished himself from others. |

Raskasal:Sorry to insult you but stop acting like a mumu and use your brain. Can't you see that it's the British Diplomats in Nigeria that are celebrating their Remembrance day as it is done today in Britain.Did you see Buhari or any Nigerian Govt official there except maybe a representative from the Federal Govt. |

Hear yourself. How could open your mouth and call a people your master?. Stop using the language of your persecutor to define yourself. Colonial is a sanitised word created by the evil white to describe a period of inhuman perpetration of genocidal holocaust and exploitation against us. Strike off the words created by the white man to describe his crime and let us choose our own words, even African word to describe that period even if we have to create a new word. Imagine if common criminals were allowed to choose the give names to their crimes? Stealing may be called 'sharing or wealth redistribution' Rape may have been named "persuasive sex" Kidnapper may call themselves "colonial masters" Just because some Africans were forcibly removed from Africa, and called slaves doesn't mean we should accept that label. Nobody calls himself a slave by their own free will. We should find our own description those Africans that suffered that particular ordeal. If they choose to, the Israelis could call themselves the colonial masters of Palestinians. During world war 2, the German could call the Jews their slaves. The Germans left to their own devices may call thier actions against Jews a sanitized word of their choosing, had they won, the war. However because they lost, the Americans and Jews created the word holocaust to describe it. TeamSimple: |

LordMecuzy:Must you comment. It is British Rememberance service not Biafra obituary. It is in Rememberance of British service men who have lost their lives in service to the Crown. It is observed in the British High Commission and different embassies worldwide because that's British soil and it must be observed as it is in the homeland-Britain. |

| Re: British Remembrance Day Service Held In Abuja by Nobody: 2:28pm On Nov 10, 2015 |
Please do not call them your colonial master. Refer to them as the evil scum they were. I really understand that the problem is that they are giving us the words for us to use to describe them and to describe ourselves. I believe that for us to be truely free to actualise our full potential we should immediately start creating our own language and write our own history. TeamSimple: |
