40 is the the pass mark , its from pg , that test is just for them to know you understand and can write in english, while the department will conduct another test to determine the no of pple to pick incsae , they have many candidates,some will conduct oral rext, but i repeat your transcript is very important because without your transcript even if you pass both the departmental test and english test, you wont be admmitted

when was that bros, im not misleading anybody that was what i was told at the PG school when i went their, how will you be given admission without transcript, what did they use to process your admission and when was that

my advice is dont panic unnecessarily for 2nd test invitation, if u have 40+, u stand a chance of being called, it myt be in batches though like d case of mech engrng dept during my time... asper transcript, just try all u can to make sure its with PG school on time.. best wishes
