Nigerians are quite sentimental agreed, but concerning the bolded you surely can't be implying that Jonathan stood for "truth, fairness and transparency"
If he did, he would definitely still be the president today
He didn't stand for truth, fairness n transparency yet he refused to rig election. He called his opponent to congratulate him while the count was still going. ofcourse, the reverse would have been the case, if his opponent were in his shoes. HE didnt stand for truth, fairness n transparency, yet no single project in his home was done by him but he executed projects in other parts of the country.

the reason he was removed from office is clearly based on sentimental politics n we all know that.

Yes he had his lapses but its not peculiar to him. Other past administration had theirs. even the incumbent president too.

Mind you, my previous post wasnt referring to
Jonathan's administration but was referring to the entire political system of Nigeria.

Thats the sentiment we r talking about. we allow tribalism and the likes to becloud our sense of judgememt as regards what truth stands for.

Now, how far has the change gone? where is the change? Is it the economic downtown or the civil unrest thats gaining heights? Nigerian politics will improve the very day we chose the path of truth instead of sentiment. lipsrsealed

We obviously have very different definitions of "truth, fairness and transparency", no point expending my energy any further.

With the exception of oil, it is a good thing most of these multinationals profit declined because our commodity market is heavily dependent of importation. They will start to have looking to produce locally, creating jobs for Nigerians.

In addition, it's completely ignorant to blame Buhari administration for the current state of the economy. Nigeria economy largely depends on oil exports but UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait have a monopoly on that industry because their reserves is enough oil to feed global demand for the next 30 years. In 2015, they basically to sold their oil at a cheap price to discourage the United States from tapping into their own reserves. To make matters worst, Nigerian Avengers started destroying export terminals carrying 350,000 barrels of crude oil!

The crazy thing is everyone in the oil market knew those Middle Eastern countries were going to sell their oil very cheap. THEY EVEN WARNED NIGERIA but being that our people are more reactive than proactive, we ignored the warning. Now, we are feeling the full force of it
