I am not here to write about Biafra, or the promise of a new beginning for the 'Biafrans', neither am I here to woo people from South South region to join in our agitations, far from that.

I am basically putting this exposee together after I made serious efforts to know why successive governments in this contraption(Nigeria) have failed to make any of the ports in South South work and be a serious contender to the seaport(s) in Lagos.

According to Wi-kipedia

I have to use images so I can dodge the anti-spam bot.

Lets start

So I am reading this intels investigative report carried out in 2006. Nna, some people own Nigeria

You have not made any point!! And what if Rivers sea port or Onne sea port is owned by private companies?? The issue is can those ports handle the discharge and off-loading of your goods? sad

Customs duties are clearly spelt out in the green book that contains the amount or percentage to be paid as duties, on every type of consignment. So those things are difficult to inflate if you use a good clearing agent that knows his onions. If charges are higher at the Onne terminal, then why can't SE importers form a pressure group to lobby or press for better rates?? shocked By what percentage are those rates higher?? Is it higher by 10% or 20%?? Your article does not contain much on these charges.

Even parts of Lagos ports have been concessioned to APM Terminals and co. It is only a matter of time before the entire Lagos ports are finally put in private hands. So why are SE importers still using those facilities?? undecided

Jesus christ, Laudate, don't be a nuisance, I told you this is an exposé, you dolt, there are serious revelations am putting up.

You will know who owns Nigeria and the land ur father built house on, guess what?

it ain't you nigguh.

So sshhhhhh.

Laudate, if only the ports were ran as it should, but the cabals are hell-bent on making it purely a monopolistic venture, as far as SS/SE is concerned, there will never ever be a seaport in any part of them.

Typical yoruba always finding stupi$d excuse to defend his northern master. Tell him that GMB killed his parents, he will tell you afterall his parents were almost 90 yrs and should die anyways.

Thanks OP. These evil people are holding SS and SE down. If you read this very carefully, you would deduce they don't want any dime in duties and taxes going to SS as they know Igbos will rather patronize their SS brother than SW. Lagos ports and Airport are the lifeblood of Lagos state's coffers...remove these, SS and SE will desert it and will be no different to Osun.

Now you understand why almost all chairmen of NPA and Comptroller General of Customs are Northerners...to continue to perpetrate this EVIL. When next you blame Gov. Akpabio for not going through with the Ibaka port, just understand that he was fighting very powerful people who have warned him...if you follow through with it, you are finished.

Dr Ejike Ignatius Onyia and prince ABC Momoh who are shareholders and Directors in the company are also Northerner right? The Italians who holds a whopping 50% of the company's shares are also northerners abi?

See, you can clamour for whatever country you want, but please, let your agitation be based on truth and not obvious deception. The lies you lots keep pushing out is the reason why you will never get things right.

Revenues from oil exploration in the ND has been used over the years to build roads, schools and other infrastructures in the South east. It has also been used to pay teachers, civil servants and politician in the region. Yet, you people will come here and lie that Hausas and Yorubas are the only ones benefiting from ND oil.

The majority shareholder of the company in question here are foreigners while Nigerians of Hausa and igbo extraction constitute the minority shareholders. Still, you Igbos want to make it look like ONLY THE NORTHERNERS are running the show. You have nothing against Italians owing 50% of the stakes in the company but you are quick to attack northerners that own lesser stakes. This goes to show that you people are so greedy that you want to corner everything for yourself and hence, the nonsense lies you keep spewing just to get the south south on Board in your Biafra agitation.

The truth is that we are not asking the right questions. I hate tribal politics. Go to the north and see the quality of roads. The last governor in kano built on of the longest fly-overs in AFrica. The current kano state governor is building a world class hospital. Is it with 'our oyel money'? Yes it is with our oyel money.

Am i angry about that ? Yes I am very angry but not at the northern elites but at the people down south representing us. Contracts are given out to cronies, who end up not doing anything. What have they done with the 13% derivatives they have been collecting? Until our southern leaders make more accountable use of the money they receive , then there is no point giving them more.
I also have classified information on the state of our Nigerian roads. The same contractor that build a six lane federal road in the north, will come to the south and some useless heads will start renegotiating for their own share. I don't want to call names but its the painful truth. We need accountable leaders. With the meagre money Akwa-ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers, Delta, IMo , Abia, etc are collecting what have they done for their states?

Abia state, IMO state, osun state in the west all come to mind. And tommorow a rochas okorocha will contest for president...you need to visit IMO state to understand that all we need is accountable leaders in all sector

They ain't seen nothing yet. They can hate on the SW from now till 2morrow but that won't stop us from putting them to shame. The Yaradua and Kano emir family are the identifiable local share holders and both entities are northerners.

SS people this is the truth right here. Akwa ibom, Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa state put together collects more Allocation than the rest of Nigeria put together. What of the 13% derivatives, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, NDDC all collecting huge allocations too. All to cater for the Needs of Niger Delta. The problem is your Governors.

You are very wrong. unnamed shareholders hold 20% stake in the company and Dr Ejike and prince Momoh are obviously representing their interest on the board.

Your hatred for other parts of Nigeria will not allow you to notice that the major beneficiary of this arrangement are the Italians who hold a whopping 50% interest in the company.

If the arrangement was that bad, how come GEJ did nothing about it for 5 years? Instead, he even rewarded the company by appointment Lamido Ado Bayero as the MD of NPA. It took an uncompromising Buhari that you people hate so much to cancel that appointment. Get your facts right and stop inciting the south south against other parts of the country.
