I tell you. Bunch of inferiority complex plaqued arrogant thieves, looking for hapless Igbo speaking groups to Lord over.

See the kind of ordeal Igbanke is undergoing in Edo state, total forceful acculturation and assimilation by the Edo is going on there as we speak right now.
Look at the type of ordeal that the Igboids in old Rivers passed through that made Ikwerre elders like Obi wali and Eze Rebisi to swallow their pride and came begging Zik in the name of Igbo unity for help, the kind of ruthless use of power Ijaws abused in Old rivers state was so bad that even Saro Wiwa, an Ogoni Started seeking for Ogoni only state, imagine renaming Obigbo with help of Gowon, if they were not barnishrd to Bayelsa and the control of Rivers state seized from them, they would have forcefully annexed Obigbo people and their lands, going by the trash they are spewing here.

Look at how Ijaws hijacked the Niger delta struggle and relegated the Igboids and the rest. Edwin Clark making it clear that Niger delta is strictly an Ijaw struggle, as Ijaw went on to displace Odili, cornered the VP position to Yaradua and went on to corner more than 80% of the proceeds from Yaradua amnesty program, in a region where there are up to 50 other ethnic groups.

We knew all these but decided to overlook them all for the sake of Eastern unity, but since these folks would not repent from their evil ways, it's time we call a spade a spade.

Bunch of power hungry land and oil thieves, these Edoids and Ijaws are.
God bless you brother. It's time to put these creek rats where they belong. N

Una good afternoon o, well i must commend d op for a thread like this buh i think we should focus more on economic, political, cultural and ideological intigration

«» i think we should have something like. a development/economic font a kind of ecowas for ss states HQ(Ed) in pH or warri were the diverse people of the ss can speak with a unified voice on issues of common goal, putting more pressure on the federal govt

«» we can have our own mega city rivalling lagos through metro integration (something similar is being planned in china) forming a big city cluster through economic integration of port harcourt-yenegoa-ughelli-warri-sapele-benin city.the new city preferably named niger delta city would have designated areas for manufacturing, better housing, improved transportation(through renovation of airport facilities to int.standard ,rehabilation of roads nd possible railway link).a proper packaging would be required so such a project would be marketable for both local an int. Investors selling niger delta nd niger deltans to the world making it the new educational(7 unies),transport ndogistivs(3 int. airport, 4 sea port nd a brand new deap sea port @ warri)hubs nd a centre of xcellence for nigerian sports(9 existing stadiums)

[b] A socio-political group in the South-South, ekpeye Youth Congress (EYC), has dismissed claims in some quarters that the immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan empowered the people of the region.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan

The group made this known in a statement jointly signed by its president-general and acting secretary, emenike Uriah Musa and Anthony Onyemachi. The group dismissed the purported assertion made by Senator Shehu Sani, that the people of the Niger Delta were the major beneficiaries of Jonathan’s administration.

According to Daily Trust the group said that the Ijaws were the main beneficiaries of the appointments and programmes carried out throughout the period Jonathan served as president.

The group said: “The attention of the ekpeye Youth Congress (EYC) World-Wide has been drawn to the vituperations of one Mallam Shehu Sani, Senator Representing Kaduna North Senatorial District in the print media, to the effect that the people of Niger Delta are the only ones who benefited in political appointments and infrastructural development in the former President Goodluck Jonathan Administration, and that the North and South West did not benefit.”

The group added that apart from the Ijaws, other major ethnic groups like the Urhobos, Ibibios, Anangs, Ogonis, Efiks, Ikwerres, Etches, Ekpeyes, Ndokwas,Ogojas, Ogbas as well as Binis, while others were left out.

“The beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme were 90% of Ijaw extraction,” the group said.

All the Niger delta struggle the last decade ended up with Ijaws grabbing the entire dividend.

While the ND brings its natural resources to the table, the West brings Nigeria's industrial, manufacturing, intellectual, economic, financial and viable ports and businesses to the table. The North brings agriculture, textiles, lands for expansion in the future to Nigeria. What do Ibos bring except fraud and crime and terrorism Biafra??

God bless you brother. It's time to put these creek rats where they belong. Ndigbo will not cede an inch of her land to anyone. In the case of Igbanke in Edo state, they've refused to acknowledge their Igbo origin, by refusing to approach the greater Igbo nation for help. Mark my words, Anioma state will NEVER come until their elders approach their kith and kin in Igbo heartland. Meanwhile, I've always believed that Ndigbo must assert themselves, violently if need be cool

Neither Ohanaeze nor GEJ had powers to create new states, this is no longer military era when states were created by a military decree.
There are too many constitutional bottle necks surrounding state creation in Nigeria under this civilian regime.

Lol! I once stayed in an Ikwerre village, Rumundara was the name, Rumualo was the next Ikwerre town there, I always told my Ikwerre neighbors that they are Igbos, they just deny it in a laughing manner, they don't get violent about it, one of them even told me that he thinks they are Igbo, but that his father tells him otherwise, the guy's name was "chibuzo", each time chibuzo spoke with his father in their Rumundara dialect, I hear everything they say, and we joke about it there after.

Enlightened hardworking Ikwerres know that they are Igbo and just shake their head in an indifferent mood, if you call them Igbo. The lazy and illiterate ones? Well I don't deal with them, so I wouldn't know.
Wow!...so what can you deduce from the bolded?
Can you storm their town hall meeting and call them igbo like you have been preaching all over nairaland?...

You see the problem with you lots, you know nothing about the Igbo ways.

In Igboland, you don't storm a meeting of any town that is not yours and start speaking. You don't even have the right to attend such meetings. Igbo communities are extremely clannish grin, a Rumundara person is a persona non grata in a Rumu alo town meeting, An Ikwerre person is a persona non grata in a pan Etche meeting, that's how it goes.

I can't even attend an Nkpor town( a neighboring town to my town) meeting, let alone speaking there.

So, under what premise should I be seen in an Ikwerre town meeting telling them who they are and who they are not, when I am not an Ikwerre? grin
