atheistandproud:No! I dont need to be told that it's the handiwork of the detractors! Apart from the record of His soundness in Scriptures at age 12, not much is said about His growing up. Why? NOBODY (except Joseph, Mary, Simon and Anna) knew He was the Messiah therefore no point chronicling details of His life. Hence if i will believe the book on lost 18 years. Let such an one give ,me the lost x years of Peter, James and John. Moreover, when He started His Ministry and went to His town, if He were One previously given to mischief, I expect that would be the grounds of rejecting Him but no! In fact, that would have given the Pharisees enough gunpowder to destroy His Ministry. |

atheistandproud:Do quote some prophecies of krishna being born as given by angels in fulfilment of God's Promise through Abraham. |

Scholar8200:If that's your mentality then you've clearly not read about the lost years of Christ. |

Scholar8200:LOL, pardon me, but what relationship does Abraham have with the Krishna? |
| Re: Christ Vs Krishna by Scholar8200(m): 7:37pm On Nov 16, 2015 |
atheistandproud:Mentality? Rather my point is: 1. We have similar literatures with claims meant to tarnish His Image. 2. Since His being the Messiah was unknown till He was 30, who cared to chronicle His growing years? Let that one also give us similar chronicles of His disciples! 3. The only offence the Nazarites - those living in Nazareth where He grew up - could point out was that He was doing things out of the ordinary and manifested the Power of God. All along, they simply knew Him as the Carpenter's son. 4. If there were negative issues and scandals, that would have been brought up by the Nazarites and vehemently seconded by the Pharisees. 5. Besides, there is NO hint in the four Gospels that He ever lived a scandalous or mischievous life. 6. The Pharisees and the Jews hated Jesus with a passion hence I wont be surprised if they compiled that thing to further vent their bile of hatred and discredit Him. |

atheistandproud:The op and some similar posts seem eager to draw a similarity between CHRIST and krishna hence I think we should focus on the weightier matters such as my request. |

Bro, let me reiterate. You have not read the lost 18 years of Jesus. Please do take time out and Google it. There is nothing toxic or biased written there. |

atheistandproud:My guy, you seem to be missing scholars point. You are saying that there are 'lost years' in Jesus' life. Obviously you've read a book somewhere that says so. Surely you remember what you've read well enough to lay out the arguments or evidences before us here, rather than tell us to go and buy a book to read. Some of us don't have the extra cash to be spending on random books that we may yet dismiss as rubbish. The claims of lost years are derived from a belief that no mention is made of Jesus' life between these years where the drama in the gospels take place. However the scholar has quoted numerous verses in the same gospels that make reference to Jesus within those years. Luke telling us directly that he was brought up in Nazareth. So it's either you accept the gospels which are the source of what we know about Jesus, or you don't accept them. if you don't accept what the gospels say then you might as well join the camp of those that say Jesus never existed, rather than claim that he went on a journey. Of course all this is a different matter from the matter of similarities between Jesus and Krishna. If you are looking at history, then you'll be hard pressed to find similarities that make them out to be the same person. For a start their stories are set in two very different parts of the world. However if you are looking at Christology and comparing that with ideas of Krishna then you might find a lot more wriggle room. |

Scholar8200:Your request sir, is a poor attempt at a straw man and blatant derail of my OP. The topic states Christ Vs Krishna. Reducing Krishna's font doesn't take anything away from him. It has nothing to do with Abraham so I won't be honoring it. |

atheistandproud:My point is that you are missing his point. |
