GEJ improved our generating capacity by over 2,000MW.

APC challenges this claim in spite of brand new power stations dotting the country.

APC goes to work sabotaging grid lines and gas pipelines to prevent smooth distribution.

PMB gets voted in sabotage stops.

APC takes credit, says Buhari's "body language" responsible even though Buhari is yet to add one watt to the existing grid.

6 mths later under "change", Nigeria records 480MW drop representing 25% drop.

That's the summary of change in our power sector.

Every facet of our economy and society by and large has either recorded retrogression or stagnation.

No fuel to power generators, no fuel for commercial vehicles, you cannot easily buy fuel now in Nigeria.

On top that, we now have darkness and blackout and even paying for the darkness through electricity bill.

The topic is misleading. The report seems to be dealing with power supply to the national grid from Okpai generating station which has been affected due to the activities of vandals and not a complete drop of national power supply to 480MW as the topic portrays. The report is also incomplete as it fails to tell us the initial power supplied from that generating station to the national grid before the pylon was vandalised.

Comprehension, my dear nnachukz, comprehension. Drops by 480mw means reduced by 480. Hence, okpai was generating 480mw.

Why all this is confusing to me is that Nigeria has all it needs to make everything work. But, what hinders it's progress is the mentality of it's people. Imagine a cave man being transported to the 21'st century. He'd be confused and totally out of sorts. That could also be said of Nigerians. Imagine handing the keys to a fighter jet to a kid; that is exactly how Nigerians are with the resources they have. This is not rocket science people. It's damned too easy. How do you think the western world make their shiit work? Because they have an evolved mentality. Change yours and get with the programme.
