First things first, i do have an issue with the adjectives 'Independent' or 'Self-made'. I think both terms are often used by people, who are too ungrateful to acknowledge and appreciate the input of other people in their lives, to describe themselves.

No one, irrespective of their gender was created to be self-sustaining. And as Bill Withers would sing: 'We all need somebody to lean on'.

Yeah, it does! . To your long post about tradition and all that, I didn't say women are above. What I mean is that majority of guys feel uncomfortable when they see single independent ladies enjoying life to the fullest without any hassles but who cares!!!

I am saying again that its all a facade. No single, emotionally Mature female Homo Sapien, goes about being single and enjoying life. Its the Hollywood "Fake it till you make it" drama they usually play. Women are more emotional than logical, the yes/no, if/then thought process will fail in a womans thinking, she cannot wake up every morning, sleep every night comfortably knowing that she lives a lonely unemotional sad life.

Lastly most men do not feel uncomfortable seeing a depressed sad woman living a fake enjoyment life, what strikes them is mild sarcasm and curiosity; which is often time mistaken for anger.

Firstly because I undergo personal study of psychology. And secondly because I see these things happen; I happen to have come accross these independent women now in their late 40's and early 50's, and I can emphatically, surely, confidently and without any iota of doubt say that "THEY ARE ALL MISERABLE".

The phrase "Independent Lady" is the biggest fallacious phrase of the 20th and 21st century. It goes against the natural order in which Mama Nature has presented unto man. The woman as a living organism was created with certain emotional and intellectual barriers that have required them to seek and want a male. A woman Naturally wants a man above her social strata that will provide her food , protection and emotional support (These may differ in the 21st century). No woman was created to be independent, equal to a man, strong A deviation from this Natural order of things has caused all the moral chaos in the world today.

So, in Other words... A girl has to keep on depending on Dickheads for Everything?? blah! blah! blah!

Like you said...This is the 21st century...having A Guy in Your life should be A bonus And not A priority!

First off, I'm not arrogant, I'm the most humble person I have ever met. Secondly it is extremely disrespectful to call me names for expressing my own fundamental ideals.
You made mention of women going to fend for themselves, first of all, that does not connote independence, it simply means common sense; even women of old, had to go to the farm, and cook , and carry out homely duties to survive. Independence of this age which I used as premise is the total disregard for the male and his position in the family and the society. Again how much empathy does modern day capitalism has toward the hard working woman; women get sexuallly used as they climb up the corporate ladder; Marketers and slaeswomen have to constantly use the sex appeal to promote products; physical labour has proven to be too hard for the female physiology. I could go on and on, but my previous points stand therein, Nature has placed man above the woman, and a deviation from this path is an exercise in futility.
NB: over 80% of America's working class women want a man richer than they are. Why?; I'll leave you to ponder that.
