What visa are you going to Italy on? From all indication, please correct me if i am wrong, you hve no job offer in Italy and so will be going on a temporary visa (tourist, business etc.) or Illegally. Now if you do that you cannot work legally and the way things are going now you will suffer. You will not make any meaningful earnings as most employers (if any will treat you as a slave) because they know your status. The only way you can make money if you go into drugs and other crimes. Stay where you and do your masters or start a business. If you have money to travel to Italy, you are not poor and you have the money to start a small business.

People are advising you that you can go to Italy and still study. Lemme ask you, On what status of visa do you wanna travel to Italy with?

You can't travel to Italy with a tourist Visa and later change the status to Study visa. Life in Italy is crazy. The truth is that there is no single job waiting for you. Even the foreigners there that now have permanent residence don't have any job. They live from hand to mouth. I have been there and I've seen it all. There are only few countries that can guarantee you a decent living. Not forgetting that it's gonna turn a nightmare for you if you become an illegal residence.

Stick to your guns in Nigerian and do your M.Sc.

How can you even compare getting Masters degree to going to hustle as a modern day slave in a country that you cannot even speak their language? You have a 1st degree in metallurgical and materials engineering and you want to go wash toilet in Europe? Why not wash toilet in Nigeria since you just want to make money and put your degree in the trash? Please do not make the mistake of a lifetime.... I know hundreds of folks in the US and Europe who are regretting that decision they made when they were young to run away from Nigeria and the same guys they left behind are now Bank managers, Engineering Managers or running very successful business all over the Nigeria.... They visit the US and spend dollars as if it is Naira......If you believe in yourself like you said, you shouldn't even giving it a 2nd thought. Go get your Masters and make sure this time you give it everything you got and become the best student in the class..... Doors will open for you....

you are very lucky my friend you came here to ask, DO NOT GO TO ITALY I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO ITALY.The hustle is real over there, go and educate your self then after that if you still want to travel, go to US,UK or canda, DO NOT THINK OF ANY OTHER COUNTRY or else you will wake up and realize you have spent 13 years abroad no room back home let alone house.

I would like to agree with you on some point however, those people in the UK, US and Canada, are exempt from your assumption.If you hustle well in these countries mentioned you can make good savings as a young man with no family.Send all your money to your bank in 9ja.if you hustle like that for 5 yrs you will be better than almost all of your mates in 5 years unless the ones born with silver spoon or are extremely favoured or lucky.

Let me tell you the truth, even if you do your masters degree or not, it will not get you any type of meaningful job, especially in Italy. I know a lot of Nigerians in Italy and i'm telling you now eh, na suffer. I've been there myself as i went to visit my aunt during the summer and it's not as nice as you may think. They are taxing everything, slashing salaries by like half and a lot of people including Italians are leaving the country. so did my aunt who just moved to the UK last month to get a job. There is a serious lack good jobs there and i'm telling you now, if you go there, you'll probably start working as a cleaner and will get peanuts as salary. so my advice to you is, forget about Italy cos you have more of a chance getting a Job in naija as they won't even look at your qualifications in Italy. They can be very racist especially cos the africans there are already a nuisance.
Instead of Italy, think about the UK. There are much more opportunities here. The only issue is actually getting in because the current government is really tough on immigration and that's why if you ever want to apply to the UK, you better make sure that everything you do is legitimate. Or apply to Canada. The prospects are good there and immigration is less tough so its up to you
