Lion Escapes From Cage At Jos Wildlife Park by viviangist3(op): 12:05pm On Dec 02, 2015

A lion has escaped from the Jos Wild Life Park on Wednesday according to Mr John Doy, the Acting General Manager, Plateau Toursim Corporation.

He said the lion escaped ``at about 8 a.m. while it was being fed''.

Doy said that the lion, which had been caged since 1972,`` slipped through the gate of the cage when it was opened for its routine feeding''.

``The animal is still within the vicinity of the Park but our fear is that the Park is not fenced.

``We are struggling to recapture it, but we want members of the public to be vigilant,'' he said.

The acting general manager said that he had already informed all security agencies to come to the Park's assistance.

why will a zoo not be fenced?

I got a lot of mention because of my above statement but none of those that quoted me was able to tell me why a zoo isn't a wildlife park.

WTF! Lions live for 10-14 years in the wild and more than 20 years in captivity...1972?... BULLSH!T,they cant even keep proper records.

And yes Nigerian zoos suck so theres no way they have the resources to keep a lion that long.

Hope fully some dumbfvck of a nairalander wont kill it and tag "Look at what I found Roaming my backyard"
