This is getting out of hand, even in Ilorin here. I hope this will not result to something else, as it happened in one of the SE state. The youth are tuning out of patient. I hope it will not degenerate to something else. Even learnt the security are taking advantage of the situation by collecting money fro. people before they are allow in.
Re: Crowd At MTN Office Ikotun by Mariecakes(f): 4:04pm On Dec 03, 2015
They are far more than that, when they start calling the numbers to form a fake queue they won't use, everywhere will be filled up n Yes those security men take bribe!!! Iwas there last week n it was soo annoying under the hot sun, but just give them N200-N500 they will collect yur form, go in, n It will be ready within 10mins! How will the queue move?? People have been there since 6am writing a stupid list that will favour only the 1st 10-20 people n then 2pm they will come out n say " NO SERVICE, COME BACK TOMORROW " I Have broken my mtn sims affectted, i cant keep suffering under the sun for a network that doesn't care about its costumers.

Why MTN Why My line was blocked about 3 weeks ago and I went to your office at Itire Road, Surulere, Lagos and I complained, because I have already registered my line before now. Just 3 days ago, I was informed via SMS that: "Yello, your line is RECONNECTED. kindly visit an MTN outlet to UPDATE your details in line with NCC directive. ON SUCCESSFUL update, you'll get a gift of =N=1,000.00" What is this I have not been able to make or receive calls since. I cannot go to any of their offices now, all because of the MASSIVE CROWD that is now a regular site. Please help me here.

Which deadline? Was any notice passed at all?

It's so bad. I took pictures too about 2 weeks ago. They are so slow. The security guys take bribe.

Do you think the security guards are motivated to collect bribes due to their COMPARATIVE low salary to that of our politicians. Imagine that a 25 year old, ATTEMPTED School Certificate receives N300,000 every month as LGA Councillor shocked
Surely this is NOT the gap between such workers in UK as you may know from the threads you opened on life there, abi
Should we not also ensure politicians are paid on minimum wage scale?

Why are u trying to mislead people, this ur text msg thingy can only be useful after u have gone to their office to register, its only to confirm, not to register, registration is done at mtn office, including finger prints, and a valid ID!!! Sending text wldnt capture the finger prints, which is what they need

The national control body NCC doesnt even care that we're being treated as dogs by this foreign company.

This what MTN wanted to prevent because they don't have enough capacity for such huge crowd. Although I must say that MTN were late inspite of the warning from NCC

I wouldn't blame them because their lines have being registered for some many contracts. Imagine your client calling you and your line is switched off for days, do you think they would understand?. That is main reason why businessmen should have more than one line to avoid this kind of mess so as not to repeat itself.

Imagine the nonsense. How can someone register on her Sim. She first registered her Sim in an Mtn office last year. A big office for that matter at fatai atere. She was then told to come back because they have to first send message to headquarters and get a reply before they can rectify it. If it were to be a civilised country they would be sued for such mistake.

I heard that mtn also provided all the mushroom outlets wiv money to rent chairs. They don't rent chairs. They allow old people stand under hot sun. It's not fair at all. This are the pictures I took
they deserves to be fine for $1trilion...... lol

I hate this provider - I dumped them as far back as 2009 after calling their customer care and cursed the unfortunate soul that picked that call that night, the guy waited for me to finish and I informed him that this is the last time in my entire life that I'll ever use an MTN line for anything.

Very useless mobile operator to say the least. angry
If only all these Nigerians can discard the useless lines and join another network provider ,you'll see how everyone of them will sit up but Nigerians being what they are will line up under that scorching sun for a line they have been paying shege to make calls and have an Internet access.
If na only me most service providers with bad attitude will go out of business or will come to my house to beg me to patronize them.

I was there yesterday and today as a loyal subscriber of MTN. Yesterday things were going smoothly until a certain group of hoodlums who came as customers distrupted the entire process. It was almost my turn and these boys broke the glass of the office. With the chaos the office was shutdown to protect lives and properties. I'm an elderly man of 62yrs old. And had to go home due to the nuaisance caused. I came in today as early as 1pm Whr I saw policemen around. In my view I saw them as making sure law and order are being observed. Operation went smoothly as people were being called in batches but I was given preference treated where I did mine at and my line started working immediately. A big lady with her mum was allowed in due to the mom's without going thru the list. The police did not harass me neither did they harass any of the customers till I left. The owner of this post show get her facts right as she should have posted a picture of how customers are being harassed. Operation went smoothly for me as there was law and order. I know as Nigerians we have our frustrations but let's not forget that these staff were attacked yesterday and they still summoned courage to come to work today. If my son had been in such situation I won't have allowed him to go to work. I give them kudos for their courage to satisfy customers as it is not easy to manage such a huge crowd in a small office. I will suggest more hands should be deployed to that office. Well done guys.

The worst part is I registered Nov 16. It worked for sometime. Until yesterday I noticed I could not recharge. When I tried calling, it was telling me my line has been temporarily barred. So today I and my mum went of which she was there on Tuesday to register. I queued for her from 7 am till 2pm. When it was my turn I called her to start coming to meet me. When she was about to register, she was told someone else registered on her line? How is that possible. My mum and dad did their registration at the same place last year. At fatai atere. Popsy doesn't have any issue. Just my mum. They didn't do it on a road side. How can someone register on her line. How can that be. They gave us a letter that we should come today o and that we should be allowed to enter. Only for us to get there and see heavy police men and security guards harrassing people. If u see old people standing under the sun. Even after we showed them the note they gave to us on Tuesday. They didn't allow us enter. One nice police man eventually allowed us to enter. My mum was able to finally complete it. While I complained about my line that was temporarily barred. They had to re register me again.

Can u see what mtn is making Nigerians go through. Can they do this to south Africans. What is painful is seeing old people standing under the hot sun. It's not fair. They locked the gate because of their office that was burnt in owerri. As I type my line is still temporarily barred even after registering a second time. Just called customer care. Was told to hold on. I am just tired!

Blame it on Ncc!

You seem to have forgotten that during the BVN registration,(dat , if u even took part in d exercise at all), u provided the fingerprint and other sorts of biodata information. The good news is dat it can be synced with your mtn Reg. I also sent YES to 799 a within 24hours, my line was reactivated. So, stop spewing trash if u are not I limelight with regard to the subject matter.

All my contacts in this world is on that Sim. I have two other sims I am using but this sim is important. For your info many people collected a days absence from work just to get this shit done. So don't say what u don't no
u have not had u can link your number to your other so that went people call u former line it will link to ur order network you are using.
