lezz:Growing =/= developed. A 4 year old kid outgrows a 30 year old man, but the 30 year old is more developed. You need 3 times your current growth levels before you have a chance at reaching South Africa's levels. Nigeria outgrew the US for sometime, but that meant nothing. Your economy is definitely shrinking as we speak. |

mzilakazi:Nigeria's MTN shenanigans was like a country shooting itself in the foot. http://www.post-nigeria.com/how-buhari-scared-off-investors-bloomberg/ "This was contained in an article titled “Buhari Bounce Becomes Bust as Nigeria Policies Irk Investors” published on its website Friday, November 27, stating that Buhari’s 5 month delay in inaugurating his cabinet led Nigeria into slow growth, backed foreign exchange controls and regulatory summersault of $5.2bn against mobile phone operator MTN." How stûpid can a nation be? |

DieVluit:South Africa isn't the US and not even nearly there. Our economy is slowing not SHRINKING like yours. We grew 7percent from 2009 to 2014 then growth slowed to 5 percent in 1st quarter 2015 to 2/3 percent 3rd quater this year. South Africa is not slowing ,and isn't stagnant either, it has slowed to 0 percent and started SHRINKING by 1.3 percent. Your economy is no where matured too, your people are as as poor as poor itself, unemployment is very high and inequality is a byword for South Africa. With a $300 billion GDP, you need to grow your ass out of the dirt. China is over 14 trillion dollars and its still growing more than 5%. India is a trillion dollar economy and she still grows by 8%. South Africa is 300 laughable billion and she's telling us about matured economy. You're content and satisfied with mediocrity. Nigeria isn't and we won't stop reaching for the stars. |

DieVluit:Fool you will pay the money or go back to South Africa. How does Nigeria's cabinet concern you? Is Nigeria now ruling South Africa? Fool investors are still rushing to Nigeria leaving South behind. FYI, buhari is in South Africa for a meet not to see Zuma. Zuma might only use the advantage to beg him dummy. We rule you. |

mzilakazi:lolz, so you have the emotions to feel a sense of rage and shame. Welcome to humankind. Unfortunately, you're still a failure just like the cheap prophylactic that failed your father during his drunken nailing of your mother. You're a product of drunken rape and sour thighs mixed with bitter sobbing and self-debasement. Over to you. |

![]() The Zoo that's Nigeria.... I know exactly where the Biafrans are coming from. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-12-04/mtn-nigeria-fine-increased-to-3-9-billion-after-regulator-error MTN Nigeria Fine Increased to $3.9 Billion After Regulator Error MTN Group Ltd. had its record fine in Nigeria increased $500 million to $3.9 billion after the country’s telecommunications regulator said it wrote the incorrect penalty in an earlier letter to Africa’s largest phone company. “There was a typo,” Nigerian Communication Commission spokesman Tony Ojobo said by phone on Friday, referring to a letter dated Dec. 2 that reduced the original $5.2 billion penalty to $3.4 billion. “The reduction should have been 25 percent. We saw the mistake and had to fix it.” MTN spokesman Chris Maroleng declined to comment. The shares traded 4.7 percent lower at 133.40 rand as of 10:39 a.m. in Johannesburg, the lowest since Nov. 17. MTN received a second letter on Thursday which superseded the first letter and increased the fine to $3.9 billion, the Johannesburg-based company said in a statement on Friday. The payment date is Dec. 31. |

iblawi:Investors are leaving Nigeria. No amount of mouthfarting will change that. And the reason is the uselessness of your government. And Nigeria's panic at trying to manage the fine is hilarious and sad at the same time. Comedy of errors and all. ![]() http://osbcng.org/2015/12/02/nse-shares-depreciate-as-investors-leave-nigeria/ “We’ve increased our positions in Egypt and Kenya at the expense of Nigeria,” McIlroy said. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-11-30/nigeria-s-stocks-fall-to-three-year-low-as-foreigners-exit

DieVluit:They lost more than what they could baggain for on MTN. Now they have send a second letter to MTN informing them that the first letter that reflected 35% slash was a mistake and now considers 25% slash. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:31am On Dec 04, 2015 |
lezz:1. Your economy is shrinking. 2. You need 3 times your current levels of growth to reach South Africa's level. 3. Growth =/= development. 4. Investors are leaving Nigeria in droves. End of story. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:32am On Dec 04, 2015 |
mzilakazi:Hahaha, there is absolute panic in the zoo. They forgot that they are a frontier economy, without the freedom of an economy like the US. Now they've bazookad themselves. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 10:38am On Dec 04, 2015 |
DieVluit:1, No it is not. It only slows like every other economy including India, China and Indonesia. 2, we have already surpassed you and left you behind in the dust. We are Africa's biggest economy and Pretoria recognises that. Do you want me to show you the angry reaction from Pretoria, Durban and jobourg the moment Nigeria was announced as your economic superiors? 3, no problem with that, since you're not growing. 4, really, mtn and shoprite are fighting with their lives to remain in Nigeria. South Africa belongs to the past. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 10:39am On Dec 04, 2015 |
DieVluit:That's why now the IMF is convinced that their GDP outlook is not truly what is shown in figures and have asked them to devalue their naira, so that their economy can now reveal its true colours and possibly attract FDI. |

| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:42am On Dec 04, 2015 |
mzilakazi:They will definitely have to devalue their Naira again. No doubt about that. With their reserves where they are, they cannot defend their currency. They have to let go. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 10:49am On Dec 04, 2015 |
DieVluit:But it will affect their GDP outlook. That's why they don't consider it at all because it will bring their economy closer to South Africa's. Egypt is also said to be facing the same problem with their currency. |
| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by lezz(m): 10:49am On Dec 04, 2015 |
DieVluit:Stock exchange? You must be nuts. If countries are measured economically by stockexchange , South Africa will be in the top 5 economies of the world not languishing in the 30-ish region. The PIC below is the true reflection of our economic powers. Can you tell me what position, old lady south Africa occupies? Nigeria is standing neck and shoulder above South Africa.

| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by DieVluit: 10:52am On Dec 04, 2015 |
lezz:Bwahaha, Nigeria's nominal GDP remains at USD 500 odd. Stop dreaming. You keep talking about "WILL" "In future" "one day". Dreams. Meanwhile, your ability to source forex is diminishing each month. You are effectively stuffed. Investors, who have pulled money out of Nigeria clearly disagree with you. They have spoken with their feet and that's all that matters. Coupled with your government's stuffing up on policy and your id1otic MTN fine, it is no wonder you are losing investors.

DieVluit:I have you are source from IMF and you're reacting with one from Blomberg? This man is desperate. All that matters is we are above you. Period. I see Nigeria asking south Africans to leave (shoprite, mtn and stanbic bank) and yet they are pleading to remain. ![]() Let's see your firms leave Nigeria then I will believe foreign firms are really leaving. In the meantime, mtn should pay up asap. It's going to be a nice way to close the year, 2015.

lezz:Until you've posted the original IMF link, you've posted nothing. Meanwhile, your gross (blue) and oil (red) revenues are diminishing. The meaning of that is simple: You have no and cannot raise money. 1. You are losing investors. 2. You are unable to defend the Naira. 3. You are unable to spend on infrastructure and basics. 4. You are desperate and are attacking investors. You are stuffed. What matters is that you cannot feed yourselves today.

| Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by mzilakazi(m): 11:05am On Dec 04, 2015 |
lezz:We do not dispute your bigger GDP outlook, but IMF cannot hold on to that any longer because your currency is overburdened and it needs some relief. Meaning that it will have to be eased a bit and be devalued. You have no choice or else you won't even qualify to be listed there anymore. The nairas hard drive is full and some files will need to be deleted. China suffered the same fate and can no longer hold on to that position 1. |

score. From this score, the finalized ranking is generated. The factors are set within our algorithm which attempts to provide a fair canvas that allows smaller, yet technologically-advanced powers to compete with larger, lesser-developed ones. Additionally, various bonuses and penalties are added for final refinement. In the end, we hope it presents an unbiased ranking and realistic outlook on the conventional military firepower and strength of a given country for a given year. At the very least, this list can be used to stir healthy debate amongst visitors to GFP.
