What the driver did wasnt good,,,, we all know but in Naija, its not a very wise thing to stop after hitting someone from my experience.. otherwise, you get lynched by a mob. Best is to keep on driving until you reach a police station and report yourself

This is the identity card of the girl in question. Her name is Omozele Eguavon and she was knocked down by a hit and run driver who was driving a white BMW along Mpape junction, FCT, Abuja. Her body has been taken away by police men from Mpape station.

One thing is certain..... it was her time.... if it wasnt through hit and run, it would definitely be through another means. I don't blame the driver for driving off because here in Nigeria, if you stop, (read my e-lips) "YOU WILL JUST GET LYNCHED"... I remember some time ago where it was posted here in Nairaland how a University professor in one of the northern states in the process of dodging a trailer to avoid being crushed to death, unintentionally killed some pupils returning from school. Instead of stopping and getting lynched, he drove into a nearby police station to report himself and avoid being lynched. Even after that, The angry mob still followed him to the police station, over powered the police, brought the man out and Burnt him alive in the police premises.... Now tell me why the whit BMW driver won't run away?

You sabi English at all? Her "body" has been taken away by police. Emphasis on Body. You don't phrase sentences like that for a person alive.
