Wait till you get the admission then you can defer, by doing so the school have it in mind that they have already committed a space in future. Get others contribution too before your make your judgement. Best of Luck! Shyee: |

hello house, how do i go about migrating to Canada? i got an agency here in Lagos that says that they can do it for me for a fee of 400k, as in get an admission from a school for and visa, but my issues now is if i get to Canada how do i settle? cos the school they will get for me i may not be able to pay for the school fee now since am self financing and if am able to pay the agency the sum of 400k i can barely afford my air fare let alone rent and accommodation over there in Canada, beside the agency told me that if i get there that i can differ my admission and get a job and work for some time b4 proceeding with my post graduate studies which i will be going for.my good people any advice on this? |

Hey guys, am in carleton university. There is an Ottawa NGO offering free airport pickups for those coming to Ottawa this winter so you should probably check this out. Chop them TRV's!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

I initially used an agent, and here are the pros and cons Pros 1. If you don't know most of the documents to submit, they tell you, what you need. 2. some secure admission for you 3.They might provide transport to VFS for you 4. They draft most of your letters for you Cons 1. You become lazy(especially if you are currently unemployed) 2. Some falsify documents they submit for you, which can be very disastrous 3. Some aren't thorough in looking at the documents 4.You will personally do police clearance, collect SOA, swear affidavits, supply information to fill forms, which is virtually most of the work. All most agents do is sit down in the office and collect your documents and cool cash. so if you are hardworking, patient, and attentive, follow the gurus on this page and you will get enough information plus experience to apply on your own. NOTE: I am speaking from my experience and experience of other people. 9 Likes |

Hey guys, Thank you for the good work you are doing. I applied for trv (PGD) on the 8th of October and my application was updated medical passed on the 20th of October but since then I haven't heard anything. My application is quite straight forward. I'm sponsoring myself having been in employment for the past 8 years. I paid first semester tuition and I have travelled quite a bit too. USA and UK included, yet I'm still freaking out cos I heard Travel history don't hold water with the Canadian embassy. I'm actually just seeking words of encouragement hence, my post. Please, if you are in a similar situation let me know. I would also like to hear opinions from the house. Thank you once again guys. |

ganiyuadeoye: Sorry bro. Sure you can send your abstract and introduction to him. In addition, you can send your project's summary and recommendations. And tell him you can send the full project to him if he doesn't mind. Please pm @thesoj for online libraries where you can get the journals. Cheers |

You are taking a huge risk! Basically, your agents will be forging these documents for you (including a bank statement??!!!)?? Wow, just don't come back here gloomy when the embassy bans you after finding out. You would also be automatically banned from the USA (Canada shares immigration info with USA), and possibly all EU countries. Remember that Nigeria is now a "terrorist" country so no country will take a chance with a Nigerian visa applicant that was once found out to have forged documents. You can get your TRV without an employment letter or significant savings, though this is the much more difficult yet more sensible & honest route. You would have to prove to the VO what you have been doing (hopefully you were self-employed and not idle) since you finished your previous education qualification, with lots of credible verifiable proof. You would have to show your passion and link that passion with your self-employment and future ambition. Your sponsor could transfer your annual total fees into your personal account and you would submit that as your SOA, your sponsor's SOA would also be submitted and you both would clearly state that s/he transferred the money to your account for your annual expenses. Also, your SOP would have to be in the 99th percentile of SOPs. You would have to be very dedicated and perfectionist to pull off this "no-employment letter & no-savings" strategy but is is entirely possible! This is exactly how my brother got his TRV. You can go through this post, and my related previous posts. I will post the documents he submitted and our strategy soon; it was all 100% honest and fully transparent, though it was very time-consuming to put together. Also, don't see this Canada visa thing as do-or-die. Consider another country as a backup plan. For my brother, we were processing Germany simultaneously so we weren't scared of the Canada outcome. He got admission to his MSc course of choice in Germany and had booked a German student visa booking appointment when we were pleasantly surprised with his Canada TRV. Tuition is free in Germany, and many MSc programs are in English. My two cents. ecclesiaok: 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Option 1: Copy the title of the publication and paste into Google. For instance, you would paste the following: "exact title of paper" filetype:pdf This would show you results of wherever on the web a PDF copy of that paper has been uploaded. Option 2: Send the title of the paper(s) to any student in Canada (e.g. sholay2011) and s/he should the able to download it for you using their school's subscription to journal databases. Option 3: Email the paper author(s) directly and ask them for a copy of the paper. Most would oblige. Option 4: Send the title of the paper(s) to me and I may be able to access it but I can't guarantee that. I mostly have access to journal papers in a certain category of scientific research, but we'll see. ganiyuadeoye: 1 Like |

So sorry about your delay. No one has responded because these issues have been tackled repeatedly and tiresomely. Read the thread, my friend. These delay issues are tackled at least once every 10-15 pages. You can't expect people to repeatedly state the same thing over and over again; this defeats the purpose of the thread. Also, how can you expect people to help you tackle your issues when you provided no personalized information about your application? smh. BlackXtar: |
