The naira will be devalued next year officially if you are buying anything,do it now.

Banker, all these rates you people are sharing. God pass Una oh

The painful part is the limit. How can one buy everything when limits would not allow the person to do so?

you warned us kuma. Going back to ny first bank 222.04

I said it but ppl thought I was a prophet of doom, the only way to save the economy is to devalue the naira ,the difference between the official rate and black market rate is too high ,I predicted this around September in another thread and the ppl there said the official differences can never be as high as 40naira but today it is. The parallel market rate is going towards 260 while the official rate may be around 230-240 . Now is the time to buy anything before January and more stringent requirements and conditions are still coming that will discourage many from importing.

The only way to do business now is to find someone abroad who wants to send money to Nigeria ,let the person buy the goods and you can bargain with the person and pay with a lesser exchange rate.

How is all these saving economy if I may ask? Imagine buying something at a ridiculous exchange rate only for one banker to be pricing it as if they exchange it $1 to N1 for you.

They should continue, very soon I would start checking out with an unknown currency to pass by that high dollar rate.

the most likely consequences of all the absurd rate is that ppl will take their businesses out of Nigeria.

boss, the fault isn't from the banks but CBn . It is complicated but believe me the banks are trying and you have to understand the harsh economic environment they too are operating in. All these rates is as a results of cbn policy about protecting the naira .

Word.

Its totally the CBN's fault as their approach towards resolving this forex crisis is detrimental to the success of the budding importer.

One direction is to develop a positive mindset towards all this. People are moving out with BTA daily and still doing business the best way possible.

@AleAirHub, it is well. Succeed we shall.

Now I believe someone is here feeding back stanbi embarassedc. And other banks to increase their rates..

I said it ..and I know it.

Just check across in a matter of days, stanbic will be one of the lowest at 235.

He told me it is going to be that way, I doubted but now I beleive. All banks can't be moving up uniformly like that. It doesn't happen before now.
