I said it but ppl thought I was a prophet of doom,the only way to save the economy is to devalue the naira ,the difference between the official rate and black market rate is too high ,I predicted this around September in another thread and the ppl there said the official differences can never be as high as 40naira but today it is. The parallel market rate is going towards 260 while the official rate may be around 230-240 . Now is the time to buy anything before January and more stringent requirements and conditions are still coming that will discourage many from importing.

The only way to do business now is to find someone abroad who wants to send money to Nigeria ,let the person buy the goods and you can bargain with the person and pay with a lesser exchange rate.

How is all these saving economy if I may ask? Imagine buying something at a ridiculous exchange rate only for one banker to be pricing it as if they exchange it $1 to N1 for you.

They should continue, very soon I would start checking out with an unknown currency to pass by that high dollar rate.
