If you were alive to see my topic to you, you would have branded me gay and abused me for a year, but after 9years it still holds true that since you left I have been lonely, I should never have played that football match, you had finished playing and only rejoined because I came to play, we celebrated my goal together and then you sank to the floor gasping for breath, I didn't take you seriously. I kept celebrating as though I was you. I always wanted to score goals like you and on the day I did that you decided to collapse in apparent heart attack. Why didn't I run and bring water for you when you screamed my name despite death calling you, why didn't I take you seriously instead of delegating someone to check on you, why couldn't I give you mouth to mouth resuscitation because I was scared you would tease me of trying to kiss you once you got better instead of trying to save your life, why did you die today in that year. You were my twin from another mother, my friend from another tribe and above all my buddy. I sit here in my office in realisation that I never moved on after you. I thank God for her though, she does her best. Sorry I never reached out to your parents after your burial cos our resemblance made your father cry when he saw me and I didn't wanna find out what it would do to your mother.
