On Wednesday 2nd of December Mueyiwa Omatsola and Mboji Kennedy; the winner and first runner up of the Mr. Universe Nigeria 2015 competition organized by Qhue Concepts alongside their rep Bernadette Nwokoro visited the Victoria Island offices of HotelNowNow one of the contest’s sponsors.

They met with the CEO George Jinadu and other members of staff, all of whom were excited to see them. Mr. Jinadu gave the duo several words of encouragement and offered up a prayer for God’s continued favor and grace in their lives.

After taking pictures with everyone, the two kings sat down with HotelNowNow’s PR Specialist and travel blogger; Yinka Oremosu for a brief question and answer session.

Mueyiwa Omatsola – Mr. Universe Nigeria 2015

HNN: How has the experience been so far?

MO: Since being crowned Mr. Universe Nigeria on October 25th, things have been different. I get lots of special treatment.

HNN: What kind of special treatment?

MO: All sorts of things, different people wanting to do stuff for me or give me things. For instance I paid a courtesy visit to Samsung’s office and they gave me a phone – a Galaxy J7.

HNN: Courtesy visit? Nice. Where else have you been?

MO: Mostly PR events, interviews and special appearances. I had a TV interview with Adesuwa Onyenokwe on her talk show – Seriously Speaking. Then Ken and I got VVIP tickets to attend AFRIMA where we met different celebrities on the red carpet like Mai Atafo, Orezi and so on.

HNN: You are Mr. Universe Nigeria for a whole year. What do you have lined up for your reign?

MO: The focus of this year’s contest was prostate cancer which is a very real threat to men in our society and starting from early next year we should kick off serious awareness campaigns. Personally, I would also like to break into Nollywood. I’m working on a few personal projects but I am open to auditions. I used to act in the drama club back in Secondary school; we used to have yearly productions.

HNN: Good luck with that. So any downside to your new found fame?

MO: (Laughs) Well I can’t do anything low-key anymore. Before winning the title I could take Okada (commercial motorbikes) or public transportation without a care but now? No way!

HNN: What about your romantic life?

MO: I have never been one to chase women; I am single but have different ladies in my life purely as platonic friends even before the competition.

HNN: It’s been fun having you here today. Do you have any final words to Mr. Universe Nigeria 2015 co-sponsor HotelNowNow?

MO: Well I would like to say a big thank you to the management and staff of HotelNowNow. Especially the CEO, Mr. George Jinadu. He took time to come see us at camp and gave us a business talk. It was then he made us realize there is absolutely no reason why we can’t be successful entrepreneurs in Nigeria. It’s all about having a plan and focus. I really want to say thank you once again to the whole team.

Mboji Kennedy – Mr. Universe Nigeria (Tourism) 2015

HNN: How has the experience been so far?

MK: Well it’s been quite an experience, extra attention and recognition. To be honest it’s all still sinking in. Like Mueyiwa said, we attended AFRIMA and met the likes of Uti, Chris Okagbue and Denrele Edun.

HNN: You are Mr. Universe Nigeria Tourism for a whole year. What do you have lined up for your reign?

MK: (Laughs) …everyone keeps asking me that. It’s just been a month since I was crowned, so y’all let me enjoy the title a bit more. So please stay tuned because your boy has got a lot in store to wow you.

HNN: We’ll keep an eye out. So any downside to your new found fame?

MK: I have always been a quiet and private person but we all know that went out the window the moment I was crowned but I guess that’s what it is!

HNN: What about your romantic life?

MK: I love women and I also appreciate them. I am not a flirt so I don’t intend taking advantage of them but I would sure welcome their love and support.

HNN: It’s been fun having you here today. Do you have any final words to Mr. Universe Nigeria 2015 co-sponsor HotelNowNow?

MK: Yes…I want to appreciate the work they have been and are still doing, like sponsoring the charity football match to support creating awareness for prostate cancer and other worthy projects. I wish them the best of luck and more grease to their elbows.

I counted 7 ladies in that picture.

make una go look for husband o, dont just be following celebrities up and down alone.

The men in the photo obviously will not marry for maybe the next decade or two, dont wait for or be like them.

a word is enough for the wise.
